Day three of the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine features the quarterbacks, wide receivers, and the running backs. It’s a long, long day of eight hours of footage. Except, it takes me way longer for me to get through it all because I have it recorded and am constantly rewinding to make sure I’m jotting down the most accurate information possible.
In terms of the quarterbacks, I’m not here to give you cookie-cutter information. This event can reveal a lot of secrets in terms of getting the evaluation correct. For example… I understand that Jaxson Dart wants to compare himself to Jalen Hurts, but the comp is pretty silly when you realize the kind of lower-body power the Eagles QB has. Does the tush push ring a bell? Speaking of Hurts, check out the Jalen Hurts player props for the Super Bowl winning quarterback.
Let’s get right down to business because we have lots to chat about. Here are your quarterback notes for the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine!
Max Brosmer (Minnesota)
Measurables: Height (6-1 5/8), Weight (217), Arm Length (31 1/2), Wingspan (75 1/2), Hand (9 1/2)
NFL Draft Stock Report: East-West (1), (2), (3), Game
No arm talent. Narrow base. Not sure why the backward hat was necessary during the actual drills. Not being that guy but at least be talented if you’re going to do it. WR had to backtrack for the ball on the out route. Accuracy not close to there. There’s no real talent here. Shouldn’t be drafted. He’s trash. Actually had decent juice with air on the deep ball.
Brady Cook (Missouri)
Measurables: Height (6-2 1/8), Weight (214), Arm Length (32 1/2), Wingspan (77 5/8), Hand (9 1/4)
Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.59), 10-Yard Split (1.53), Vertical Jump (37), Broad Jump (10’8″), 3-Cone (7.01), 20-Yard Shuffle (4.17), Bench (N/A)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 6, Week 9, Music City Bowl, East-West (1), (2), (3), (4), Game
One of the few guys to run. Tested ok all things considered. Mediocre talent. No big time drive off the back foot. Out routes were fine but there’s just no special when the ball comes out. Can’t tell you one great trait he has. Don’t see a great arm. Deep in cuts not impressive. Lower half is meh. Not a bad pure athlete but stinky actual QB. Looks like Connor Cook who used to be at Michigan State who was equally as terrible. Not the worst pure testing numbers ever though so give him that.
Jaxson Dart (Mississippi)
Measurables: Height (6-2 2/8), Weight (223), Arm Length (30), Wingspan (72 7/8), Hand (9 1/2)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 5, Week 6, Week 7, Week 11, Week 13, Week 14, Gator Bowl, Senior Bowl (1), (2), (3), Game
All arm thrower. Back leg comes off the ground like clock work. Wasn’t necessarily missing throws but mostly duck layups. Got some Trubisky PTSD. Plant foot not as straight as Trubisky but it’s not good. After seeing this having a hard time believing people are taking this seriously. He’s not as bad as Trubisky but he’s going to be limited and doesn’t have the power of Hurts as the guy he wants to comp himself to. He actually wasn’t really missing throws but not sure it’s sustainable based on his lower half. Guy can’t help himself with his back foot. It’s like he’s throwing off a kick stand. Weird cause he should be mobile too.
This entire day looked the same. He was getting the ball where it needed to be. I’m sure most people will say he did well. He actually did do alright. I just can’t buy this cheese. Not with the way he lifts the back leg looking like a sideways dog who has to pee. Didn’t show off cannon on deep ball. Can throw it deep but no rocket fuel. Deep ball was kinda flat. At Ole Miss the best thing he did was threw those seam throws up the field. In terms of big time arm, no way. Mostly accurate but the comeback to Bech was miles off.
Post corner routes were bad. But that’s going to happen with his lower half. It’s going to be inconsistent. Missed both out of the gate. Even Kurt Warner was yelling at him for the ball being too flat. Couldn’t hit a single one of these route concepts. Fade balls were awful. Again no air or height on them. Next level bad on the fade balls. Couldn’t have looked worse in that area.

Quinn Ewers (Texas)
Measurables: Height (6-2 1/8), Weight (214), Arm Length (30 3/4), Wingspan (75), Hand (9 3/8)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 2, Week 4, Week 5, Week 7, Week 8, Week 9, Week 11, Week 12, Week 14, Conference Championships, College Football Playoff First Round, Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl, Cotton Bowl
Money on the intermediate throws with positive juice. Uncle Rico throwing vibes but if Uncle Rico were actually talented. A lot of effortless arm stuff. Needs to be better lower half. Plus arm power. Throws the best ball in this group and it’s not close. Trying to bend better than he has. Bit high on one throw over the middle. A lot of these are easy money intermediate throws. It’s what he does best. Got about what I expected and most of it was good. Not perfect but really solid. Some spot misses but easy mover arm wise. Not hard to see his pure talent.
You can tell he can put more juice on these intermediate throws if he wants to but it’s more laying out there. He’s holding back on purpose more of frisbee than rocket but has some rocket. Has feel to make it more catchable intermediate. Deep out cuts were money. Actually thought the footwork was better than in the past. Still needs work but he’s at least mindful to do it right. No real hitch to do what he needs to do. Ball comes out so easy. Wouldn’t say he wowed on the deep ball. Intermediate better than deep. Good arm but not crazy insane horse power. Missed on the comeback routes in general.
Post corners were all good. Made it look easy compared to the group. Great job on the fade. Nice rep to Horn who high pointed it.

Dillon Gabriel (Oregon)
Measurables: Height (5-11 1/8), Weight (205), Arm Length (29 5/8), Wingspan (73), Hand (9 1/4)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 2, Week 3, Week 6, Week 7, Week 8, Week 10, Conference Championships, Rose Bowl, Senior Bowl (1), (2), (3), Game
Short and tiny. Previously comped him to overwhelmed version of Bryce Young. Misses out route throw to Pat Bryant. Mechanically sound. Tries to drive the ball. Tries key word. Accuracy was not there compared to in season. Ball placement was off. Third out route throw was closer to hitting the stands than the actual spot. Today was vomit worthy bad. Pure arm strength not there. He’s night and day significantly worse than Nix and it goes beyond the size. Throw over the middle just hanging there and was already high. He can be accurate sometimes when he can line it up on a line in rhythm.
Deep out cut ball dies and not where it needs to be. Next ball way too high to Bech who actually has size. Can’t even believe how off he’s been accuracy wise. Even the ones he kinda hits the spot placement far from ideal. Even throwing to Tez who he should have a connection with, he’s waiting on the sideline for an hour for the ball to get to him. Can throw it deep but didn’t complete either one. Comeback routes underthrown. Next comeback route way off.

Seth Henigan (Memphis)
Measurables: Height (6-3), Weight (215), Arm Length (32), Wingspan (76 3/4), Hand (9)
Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.76), 10-Yard Split (1.6), Vertical Jump (31.5), Broad Jump (9’6″), 3-Cone (7.34), 20-Yard Shuffle (4.44), Bench (N/A)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Senior Bowl (2), (3), Game
One of the few guys to run. Don’t even feel like talking about him. Same thing as Senior Bowl. It’s meh. He’s there. Congratulations. Very good at underthrowing stuff. He’s at least completing balls so give him that.
Will Howard (Ohio State)
Measurables: Height (6-4 2/8), Weight (236), Arm Length (32), Wingspan (77 1/8), Hand (9)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 6, Week 7, Week 10, Week 13, Week 14, College Football Playoff First Round, Rose Bowl, Cotton Bowl, National Championship
Throws ducks. Bad arm talent. Underwhelming arm straight. First out route to Felton not even close. Would have been picked. Sideline throw that was closer to the hashmark it was that far off. I’ve been a hater during the regular season but this confirmed. Can’t watch these throws and think he’s something. No chance. Crossing feet weird during drop back. I don’t see it at all. Feel free to click on all of the stock notes about Howard but it’s essentially me saying he sucks over and over again. I would have had no problem telling you he looked great here if that was the case but all of the stuff I saw all season long transpired here.
There’s no juice in the lower half. Pure arm is just so underwhelming. It’s maybe better than Cooper Rush arm power but that’s about it. That might be generous. He’s miles off on throws over the middle. Throw to Dike was closer to hitting the sidelines than being where it needed to be in the middle of the field. Can’t buy a completion with nobody covering people. Balls against air he’s maybe 50% with nobody covering. Even when the ball is in the air it feels like it takes forever to get there. It holds up in the air two seconds too long.
It’s actually amazing how bad he is. We’re seriously talking 50% completion against air. Can’t buy one. When he misses it’s not like receivers even have the chance to bail him out. Half these throws aren’t close. Not even that. The pure arm is just so damn bad. Ball comes out like an amputee duck. Just hangs there. Easily the worst deep ball of the group. Ball dies and can barely do the task of throwing deep. First deep ball overthrows Higgins and wasn’t even juiced up.
10 yards off on the post corner. Second post corner he’s five yards off. Again, Kansas State told this guy to kick rocks because the guy they have is better. Why would I pretend an NFL team is going to act like he’s better than what they have?
NFL Network full workout video (the video is 1:28, which is significantly shorter than the others at the position. Corrupt because it’s clearly missing the bad throws. So I posted them above).
*group two apparently had sandy vages so Matt Corral took substantial reps because too many opted out.
Riley Leonard (Notre Dame)
Measurables: Height (6-3 6/8), Weight (216), Arm Length (31 5/8), Wingspan (77 1/8), Hand (9 1/2)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 1, Week 8, College Football Playoff First Round, Sugar Bowl, National Championship, Senior Bowl (1), (2), (3), Game
No power off the back foot. Ball to Lovett behind him. Pure arm is not good. Lacks juice. Ball placement not there. QB draw queen in college and didn’t throw it nearly well enough to take seriously. Base looks narrow. No shot he beats a 13-year-old girl in arm wrestling. Tough but no power. Not as disastrous as Will Howard but kinda the same physically. Had fair share of misses. One out route not close.
Can see the ball dies on the ones down the field. Haynes King probably loves him but nobody else does. Maybe his parents. Can’t imagine anyone else does. Sail route way too out in front. Deep ball died. Lame duck ball. He’s a total zero. No idea how anyone could waste a draft pick here. Fade ball sucked. Can’t even throw it in bounds. Hard to be this terrible on fades. It’s like watching Daniel Jones if Daniel Jones sucked more than he already does.
Kyle McCord (Syracuse)
Measurables: Height (6-3), Weight (218), Arm Length (31), Wingspan (74 1/2), Hand (9 1/2)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 2, Week 4, Week 6, Week 9, Week 14, East-West (1), (2), (3), (4)
Real whippy arm. Not a rocket but has some juice on it. Ball placement on these in cuts good. Mechanically good. No issues. Can’t find bad misses. Kurt Warner going out of his way to compliment McCord before anybody else. Nice out routes. Nothing about him sexy but guy just does his job. Good spin and placement. Could use to drive the ball more off the back foot but it’s not egregious. Solid knee bend so it’s not like it’s a broken feet issue. Just not overly powerful human. Out routes are just on the money in a great spot. Ball doesn’t die. Travels nice through the air.
Best accuracy for this group. Not even debatable unless you want to say Shough is close. Kept it going down the field. Consistent and nailing it. Wouldn’t say the deep ball had insane juice but it more than got the job done. All his throws look the same.
Graham Mertz (Florida)
Measurables: Height (6-3 3/8), Weight (212), Arm Length (31 1/4), Wingspan (76 1/2), Hand (9 3/4)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 3, Week 4, Week 7, Week 12
Did not workout. Maybe too soon after the broken leg.
Jalen Milroe (Alabama)
Measurables: Height (6-1 7/8), Weight (217), Arm Length (30 5/8), Wingspan (76 5/8), Hand (9 3/8)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 1, Week 3, Week 5, Week 6, Week 7, Week 8, Week 9, Week 10, Week 11, Week 13, Week 14, ReliaQuest Bowl, Senior Bowl (1), (2), (3), Game
Has arm power. Converted the in routes. Physically built. Probably looks like a Geek god without his shirt on compared to 90% of quarterbacks who play the position. Has the gas but doesn’t want to use the lower body at all. Accuracy far better than Senior Bowl. Misses started to come once the day got long. Ball to Royals super high and nowhere close. Fastball pitcher with no offspeed. Makes hard look easy and easy look hard. Nothing about him is consistent and it starts in the lower half. The throws that he nails they look fantastic. He just needs one of those redo buttons. Maybe seven redo buttons if that were somehow possible. Doesn’t anticipate the spot well enough. Has that extra pause and just wants to throw gas. Actually thought I would get more on the deep ball. One was underthrown. Otherwise it was fine but no howitzer. Loves throwing balls high. Addicted to it. Deep ball accuracy not terrible.
Total idiot for not running. Whoever told him not to should be slapped. The way these idiots droll over 40 times, he should have run for the positive draft politics alone. Would have made a huge difference.
NFL Network full workout video for Milroe (notice how his video is nearly eight minutes compared to Howard. We know why. They had to chop out essentially the whole thing to take out the trash misses).
Kurtis Rourke (Indiana)
Measurables: Height (6-4 2/8), Weight (220), Arm Length (30 1/2), Wingspan (75 1/8), Hand (9 3/8)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 8, Week 9, Week 10, Week 11, Week 13, College Football Playoff First Round
Did not workout. Has had a lot of lower body injuries in the past. Decent player but pocket player only.
Shedeur Sanders (Colorado)
Measurables: Height (6-1 1/2), Weight (212), Arm Length (31 1/2), Wingspan (77 3/4), Hand (9 3/8)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4, Week 5, Week 7, Week 8, Week 10, Week 11, Week 12, Week 14, Alamo Bowl, East-West (1)
Did not workout. People were going to complain regardless of what he did.
Tyler Shough (Louisville)
Measurables: Height (6-4 7/8), Weight (219), Arm Length (30 3/4), Wingspan (76 1/2), Hand (9 3/4)
Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.63), 10-Yard Split (1.61), Vertical Jump (32), Broad Jump (9’9″), 3-Cone (N/A), 20-Yard Shuffle (N/A), Bench (N/A)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 5, Week 6, Week 8, Week 10, Tony The Tiger Sun Bowl
Only guy to run in this 2025 NFL Scouting Combine group. Pocket guy but wasn’t slow. Mostly limited by injuries. Definitely on the older side. Pretty refined. Throws a good ball. You can tell he’s trying weird arm angles for no reason. Truly throws a nice ball. Has good height to him. Doesn’t lack arm juice. Looks like a pro guy. Has good pace on his ball. Gets to where it needs to be with plus velo.
Nice gas on the ball. Sideline throws no issue. Every ball he throws mostly looks the same and it’s just nice. Truly drives it to a spot. Real zip. Drives the ball. Not sure what else there is to say. Just throws a damn good ball. Deep ball is wonderful. Has that umpf.
Cam Ward (Miami)
Measurables: Height (6-1 5/8), Weight (219), Arm Length (30 1/2), Wingspan (75 3/4), Hand (9)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 1, Week 5, Week 6, Week 8, Week 9, Week 10, Week 11, Week 14
Did not workout. He’s QB1 and it’s not close.
