2025 NFL Scouting Combine: Edge Rusher Notes

I’m a sicko when it comes to this stuff so I consciously strive to take our NFL Draft coverage to the next level year after year. I hope the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine notes are a reflection of just that. The defensive line section is in the books so now it’s time to go over the edge rushers!

On the whole, this is a really nice group. Most of the top end guys sat out but we still have a large group to go over and chat about. Get ready because it’s a lot but I promise you won’t find better information on the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine anywhere else on the internet!

Without further ado… here are your edge rusher notes for the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine!

Tyler Baron (Miami)

Measurables: Height (6-4 5/8), Weight (258), Arm Length (33 1/8), Wingspan (80 1/2), Hand (10)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.62), 10-Yard Split (1.61), Vertical Jump (35.5), Broad Jump (10’1″), 3-Cone (N/A), 20-Yard Shuffle (N/A), Bench (19)

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 1, East-West (3), (4)

Not a bad running time. Can bend and turn okay but the feet got caught in the wave. Just looks alright to me. Slow motion spin. Not great bend on the get around. Body catcher and looked like ass dropping in coverage. He’s there. Medium talent.

Tyler Batty (BYU)

Measurables: Height (6-5 5/8), Weight (271), Arm Length (33 1/8), Wingspan (81), Hand (9 3/8)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.78), 10-Yard Split (1.69), Vertical Jump (34), Broad Jump (10’0″), 3-Cone (7.21), 20-Yard Shuffle (4.54), Bench (27)

NFL Draft Stock Report: Alamo Bowl, East-West (1), Game

Not fast. Could be worse but no crazy gear. Looked like he seriously slowed down during the last stretch of the 40. Stumbling in the wave. Not a fantastic athlete. Showed a nice little slide move but not much else. Bench number nice. Shows he works hard. So overachiever vibes?

Jordan Burch (Oregon)

Measurables: Height (6-4 1/8), Weight (279), Arm Length (33), Wingspan (79 3/8), Hand (9 1/2)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.66), 10-Yard Split (1.66), Vertical Jump (N/A), Broad Jump (N/A), 3-Cone (N/A), 20-Yard Shuffle (N/A), Bench (N/A)

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 6, Week 7, Conference Championships, Rose Bowl

Has the tools but didn’t see the wow speed. Feet really bad in the wave. One thing to be a tick slow. Can’t be tripping over yourself. Happened in the wave trying to change direction. Better in the bag agility. Play speed not there. Not impressed. Expected way more. Underachiever vibes. For as naturally gifted as he is, comes off as lazy. Do the rest of the testing buddy. Get in the weight room. Take care of yourself.

Abdul Carter (Penn State)

Measurables: Height (6-3), Weight (250), Arm Length (N/A), Wingspan (N/A), Hand (N/A)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (N/A), 10-Yard Split (N/A), Vertical Jump (N/A), Broad Jump (N/A), 3-Cone (N/A), 20-Yard Shuffle (N/A), Bench (N/A)

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 1, Week 7, Week 10, Week 13, Conference Championships, College Football Playoff First Round, Fiesta Bowl, Orange Bowl

Did not workout. Freak. Didn’t need to see anything. He’s also injured so who knows if he would have worked out at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine if he were healthy. That part is unknown. Although he doesn’t have much to prove.

Feel free to peep the stock notes. Feel free to watch this video on the on the mock draft simulator series where I collected four first rounders for the Packers where I specifically mentioned having ammo to move up for Abdul Carter, and people complained about it. I’m sure turning in the card for Jordan Morgan was smarter!

Fadil Diggs (Syracuse)

Measurables: Height (6-4 7/8), Weight (257), Arm Length (33 3/8), Wingspan (79 1/8), Hand (10 3/8)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.57), 10-Yard Split (1.60), Vertical Jump (30.5), Broad Jump (10’1″), 3-Cone (N/A), 20-Yard Shuffle (N/A), Bench (N/A)

Solid run time. Looks like a decent athlete. Get off was better than average. More than passable in the wave. Can definitely move. Can bend and sink. Play speed good. Used hands well. Bend is there. Really nice showing.

Ethan Downs (Oklahoma)

Measurables: Height (6-3 3/4), Weight (269), Arm Length (31), Wingspan (77), Hand (10 1/2)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.69), 10-Yard Split (1.62), Vertical Jump (34), Broad Jump (9’11”), 3-Cone (7.58), 20-Yard Shuffle (4.59), Bench (32)

Stumbly a bit in the wave. Gets to the spot but the change isn’t smooth. Tripped over himself in the rushing drills. Wasn’t all bad but it wasn’t close to really good. Not awful in terms of just being an adequate pace mover and the power numbers checked out in his favor.

Donovan Ezeiruaku (Boston College)

Measurables: Height (6-2 1/2), Weight (248), Arm Length (34), Wingspan (82 3/4), Hand (9 1/4)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (N/A), 10-Yard Split (N/A), Vertical Jump (35.5), Broad Jump (9’11”), 3-Cone (6.94), 20-Yard Shuffle (4.19), Bench (22)

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 1, Senior Bowl (1), (2), (3)

Did not run. Bit clunky in the wave but can move. Nice feet in the bag drills. Hands in line. Nice turning the corner in bags. Nice bend. Has the arms going. Good job dropping in coverage. Has plus length on his side. Thought it was a solid day but wouldn’t say he blew the doors off.

Ashton Gillotte (Louisville)

Measurables: Height (6-2 5/8), Weight (264), Arm Length (31 7/8), Wingspan (78 5/8), Hand (8 1/2)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (N/A), 10-Yard Split (N/A), Vertical Jump (36.5), Broad Jump (10’0″), 3-Cone (N/A), 20-Yard Shuffle (N/A), Bench (24)

Did not run. Plant gets stuck. Don’t see it. Ate it on the rushing. Out of control in the hoop. The type of guy who someone will draft in the middle rounds, get no value out of, then wonder what happened.

Mike Green (Marshall)

Measurables: Height (6/3 1/8), Weight (251), Arm Length (32), Wingspan (77 5/8), Hand (8 1/5)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (N/A), 10-Yard Split (N/A), Vertical Jump (N/A), Broad Jump (N/A), 3-Cone (N/A), 20-Yard Shuffle (N/A), Bench (28)

NFL Draft Stock Report: Senior Bowl (1), (2), (3)

Did not workout. Power numbers were nice though, which isn’t a surprise given his Senior Bowl performance.

Ahmed Hassanein (Boise State)

Measurables: Height (6-2 3/8), Weight (267), Arm Length (32 1/4), Wingspan (78 3/4), Hand (9)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.77), 10-Yard Split (1.7), Vertical Jump (32.5), Broad Jump (9’5″), 3-Cone (N/A), 20-Yard Shuffle (N/A), Bench (25)

NFL Draft Stock Report: Fiesta Bowl, East-West (1)

Lacks speed for a pure edge guy. Choppy feet but late to react. Has hard time turning his hips. No burst but you can tell he’s trying. Not bad staying low in the hoop. Probably not an accident he didn’t do the cone or shuttle drill. Short area he wouldn’t have been able to turn quickly enough to post a respectable time. Tries hard though. 25 on the bench is respectable.

Jared Ivey (Mississippi)

Measurables: Height (6-5 7/8), Weight (274), Arm Length (33 1/2), Wingspan (82 3/4), Hand (9 1/8)

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 5, Week 6, Week 11, Week 13, Senior Bowl (2), (3)

Did not run. Zero athletic testing didn’t do any of the events minus on field. The on field wasn’t nearly good enough to just skip everything else. Ate in the the wave. Going a bit faster than he can handle. Bit out of control and too high but something there. Can’t keep the towel in the zone in the hoop. Wanted more. Definitely lagging behind the other Ole Miss guys.

Landon Jackson (Arkansas)

Measurables: Height (6-6), Weight (264), Arm Length (33 1/4), Wingspan (83 5/8), Hand (10)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.68), 10-Yard Split (1.65), Vertical Jump (40.5), Broad Jump (10’9″), 3-Cone (N/A), 20-Yard Shuffle (N/A), Bench (N/A)

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 6, Week 12, Senior Bowl (1), (2), (3), Game

Jumped out of the gym. Really nice 10-yard time but okay 40 time. Lost a bit of juice down the stretch. Bit clunky but overall good. Can move and wants to be an athlete. Knee bend solid. Eyes are good. Using instincts. Great job in bag drills. Nice handwork. Plus athlete. Looked good rushing. Excellent in the hoop with good play speed.

On the whole it was a really nice day. Especially adding in those insane jump numbers. Has a gear to him with plus size. Not lighting but plus first step. He’s something.

Sai’vion Jones (LSU)

Measurables: Height (6-5 3/8), Weight (280), Arm Length (33 1/2), Wingspan (82 3/8), Hand (10)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (N/A), 10-Yard Split (N/A), Vertical Jump (33), Broad Jump (9’11”), 3-Cone (N/A), 20-Yard Shuffle (N/A), Bench (19)

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 1, Week 3, Week 7, Week 8, Week 11, Week 12, Week 13, Texas Bowl, Senior Bowl (2), (3), Game

Did not workout. Did a few of the tests. That’s it.

Jah Joyner (Minnesota)

Measurables: Height (6-4 1/4), Weight (262), Arm Length (34), Wingspan (82 1/4), Hand (9 3/8)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.6), 10-Yard Split (1.67), Vertical Jump (30), Broad Jump (N/A), 3-Cone (7.33), 20-Yard Shuffle (4.68), Bench (N/A)

NFL Draft Stock Report: Senior Bowl Game

Way too high. Bad knee bend. Can’t bend. Sucks. Not a guy. Horrible spin rushing. Coaches yelling at him to get lower in the hoop. Takes him too long to do anything. Did pretty much everything except bench. Swimmer vibes. Wasn’t going to be strong. Nothing to write home about here.

DeAndre Jules (South Carolina)

Measurables: Height (6-3 5/8), Weight (316), Arm Length (34 1/4), Wingspan (83), Hand (8 3/4)

Did not workout. *Probably should be in the DL section but missed him for some reason. Doesn’t matter didn’t workout anyway in any aspect and had no leg to stand on considering he was a nobody on the South Carolina front.

Kyle Kennard (South Carolina)

Measurables: Height (6-4), Weight (254), Arm Length (34), Wingspan (81 1/2), Hand (9 3/4)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.73), 10-Yard Split (1.63), Vertical Jump (N/A), Broad Jump (N/A), 3-Cone (N/A), 20-Yard Shuffle (N/A), Bench (23)

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 3, Week 7, Cheez-It Citrus Bowl, Senior Bowl (2), (3)

Spazzy but is moving okay. Kinda underwhelming. Back bending. Kinda slow. Coaches yelling at him to stay low. Not easy turning corners. Lacks smoothness. Was he an older guy who worked his way to being more dominant or are there actual natural gifts here? I’m not super convinced he’s a dude, dude.

Steve Linton (Baylor)

Measurables: Height (6-3 3/4), Weight (242), Arm Length (34 1/4), Wingspan (81 1/4), Hand (9)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (N/A), 10-Yard Split (N/A), Vertical Jump (32.5), Broad Jump (10’4″), 3-Cone (7.25), 20-Yard Shuffle (N/A), Bench (21)

Did not run. Horrible wave drill. Can’t stay on his feet. Send him home. Looks like typical Baylor. Lump of clay who is a zero. Long but a zero. If Shawn Oakman wasn’t jacked and zapped 60% of the little football talent he had, this is what it would look like.

Sean Martin (West Virginia)

Measurables: Height (6-5 1/2), Weight (293), Arm Length (35), Wingspan (84 1/2), Hand (9)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.88), 10-Yard Split (1.7), Vertical Jump (28.5), Broad Jump (9’4″), 3-Cone (7.38), 20-Yard Shuffle (N/A), Bench (28)

Did not run. Slow motion. Can’t bend. Covers no ground. Horrible showing. Painfully slow in bag agility. Still slow in the bags. So damn slow. Embarrassing trying to bend. Trash in the hoop. Can’t keep the towel in the zone. Probably the single worst player here. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to compare his raw numbers from the testing to the other guys to figure out he’s not good. 28 reps is cool though. Good for him on that. That’s all I got.

Oluwafemi Oladejo (UCLA)

Measurables: Height (6-3 1/4), Weight (259), Arm Length (33 3/8), Wingspan (82 1/4), Hand (9 3/4)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (N/A), 10-Yard Split (N/A), Vertical Jump (36.5), Broad Jump (10’0″), 3-Cone (N/A), 20-Yard Shuffle (N/A), Bench (20)

NFL Draft Stock Report: (3), Game

Did not run. Bit stiff but can bend. Gets stuck in the spot sometimes. Shaky eye level. Feet can go. Has an intensity to him. Overall solid. Definitely taz vibes but he’s not nothing. More wacko than speed.

James Pearce Jr. (Tennessee)

Measurables: Height (6-5 1/4), Weight (245), Arm Length (32 3/4), Wingspan (80 7/8), Hand (10)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.47), 10-Yard Split (1.56), Vertical Jump (31), Broad Jump (10’3″), 3-Cone (N/A), 20-Yard Shuffle (N/A), Bench (N/A)

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 2, Week 7, Week 8, Week 12, Week 14, College Football Playoff First Round

First step in the 40 really noticeable. Good run times but noticeable burst. Has electric in him. 10-yard time stupid good. Smooth and real athlete. Nailed the wave drill. Totally crushed it. Clinic stuff. Sideways movement skills off the charts. Eyes up. Oily hips. Can really go to his spot. He’s the best one here and it’s not close. Lighting it up in bag ability. So obvious he’s best one here. It’s not even a contest. Everything looks easy. Definitely the king of this group for the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine.

Antwaun Powell-Ryland (Virginia Tech)

Measurables: Height (6-2 5/8), Weight (258), Arm Length (31 1/4), Wingspan (76 1/8), Hand (9 5/8)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.69), 10-Yard Split (1.64), Vertical Jump (36.5), Broad Jump (10’4″), 3-Cone (N/A), 20-Yard Shuffle (N/A), Bench (N/A)

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 5, East-West (1), (3), (4)

Slower than I thought. Pure rusher sack artist but no real high end speed. Feet are alright but drastic change compared to Pearce the rep before. Bit stumbly transitioning. Lost footing around the corner. Using his hands to stay on balance. Otherwise would trip more. Needs to bend better. Don’t think he has that in him. Production was there but how NFL good is he?

Elijah Roberts (SMU)

Measurables: Height (6-3 5/8), Weight (285), Arm Length (33 5/8), Wingspan (82 1/2), Hand (10 1/4)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.78), 10-Yard Split (1.67), Vertical Jump (31.5), Broad Jump (9’8″), 3-Cone (N/A), 20-Yard Shuffle (N/A), Bench (N/A)

Totally meh. I’m not interested at all. Coaches yelling at him for lack of body control. Needs to restart and jumpy. Nobody. Lacks feel and control. Never bothered to mention him in the stock notes for the collegiate All-Star game cause didn’t feel it was worth the time. Not sure what else you want from me.

Que Robinson (Alabama)

Measurables: Height (6-4 1/4), Weight (243), Arm Length (33 1/2), Wingspan (80 1/8), Hand (9 5/8)

Did not workout. Was barely on the field for Bama and was usually a rotation piece. Insane to not workout here in zero capacity.

Kaimon Rucker (North Carolina)

Measurables: Height (6-1), Weight (254), Arm Length (32 5/8), Wingspan (79), Hand (10)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (N/A), 10-Yard Split (N/A), Vertical Jump (N/A), Broad Jump (N/A), 3-Cone (N/A), 20-Yard Shuffle (N/A), Bench (27)

Only benched. Granted the bench number was nice but WTF dude. Not nearly heralded enough to skip everything.

Jack Sawyer (Ohio State)

Measurables: Height (6-4 1/4), Weight (260), Arm Length (31 3/4), Wingspan (77 1/8), Hand (9 3/4)

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 6, Week 7, Week 10, Week 13, Week 14, College Football Playoff First Round, Rose Bowl, Cotton Bowl, National Championship

Did not run. Zero athletic testing. Only did on field. Bent his knees great. Very smooth. No issues. Hands in rhythm with feet. Definitely has something to him. Some slippage in there. Really nice doing the hoop. Feet and change of direction are a plus.

Nic Scourton (Texas A&M)

Measurables: Height (6-2 3/8), Weight (257), Arm Length (33), Wingspan (80 7/8), Hand (10)

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 1, Week 3, Week 5, Week 6, Week 9, Week 10, Week 14

Did not run. Didn’t attempt any of the athletic testing. Did do the on field. Trying to move fast in drills. Changing direction okay but something off about him. Play speed is a plus but times he’s out of control. Absolutely trash trying to rush. Lost a shoe. Keeps falling over. Had to quit halfway through out of clumsiness. Eyes down bad in the hoop. Called it quits early. No body control. Based on how he looked, I highly doubt he would have tested well. Probably not a coincidence.

Barryn Sorrell (Texas)

Measurables: Height (6-3 1/4), Weight (256), Arm Length (32 1/4), Wingspan (77 7/8), Hand (9 1/4)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.68), 10-Yard Split (1.65), Vertical Jump (34), Broad Jump (10’1″), 3-Cone (7.06), 20-Yard Shuffle (4.36), Bench (28)

NFL Draft Stock Report: Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl, Cotton Bowl, Senior Bowl (1), (2), (3)

Ate it in the wave drill. Bit too high. Can move. Feet need to stay underneath him. Mostly good. No crazy complaints. Solid B level. Needs to stay tighter to the line. 28 reps in the bench is really good. Mostly consistent movements. Never saw a rep where I was like WTF? Just looks like a good capable player.

Josaiah Stewart (Michigan)

Measurables: Height (6-1), Weight (249), Arm Length (31 7/8), Wingspan (79), Hand (9 1/2)

Did not workout. Not nearly good enough to skip so I’m not sure what his problem is. Was healthy at the Senior Bowl. For that let’s disregard the notes on him and keep things moving. If he thinks he can join the Mason Graham club he’s delulu.

Shemar Stewart (Texas A&M)

Measurables: Height (6-5), Weight (267), Arm Length (34 1/8), Wingspan (84 3/4), Hand (9 5/8)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.59), 10-Yard Split (1.58), Vertical Jump (40), Broad Jump (10’11”), 3-Cone (N/A), 20-Yard Shuffle (N/A), Bench (N/A)

NFL Draft Stock Report: Senior Bowl (2), (3)

Ran and jumped but nothing else. The run time was good but the 10-yard time is very impressive. Jumping numbers really good too. Maybe tweaked something running but I’m not totally sure. Either way this whole thing is still a con job. You can’t take a guy in the first round who has shown zero evidence of actually being a good football player. I’ll have a separate post out on that in the coming days. Football is a game of physical toughness. If he was really a trait monster that was really going to be a guaranteed hit, why not show off the strength? Politics. That’s why.

Bradyn Swinson (LSU)

Measurables: Height (6-3 5/8), Weight (255), Arm Length (33 3/8), Wingspan (81 1/4), Hand (9 7/8)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (N/A), 10-Yard Split (N/A), Vertical Jump (N/A), Broad Jump (N/A), 3-Cone (7.13), 20-Yard Shuffle (4.33), Bench (N/A)

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 9, Week 12, Texas Bowl

Did not run. Lost a shoe in the wave. On his heels at times. Feet are solid. Wants to bend but trying to guess too much. Not super smooth. Feet need to cover more ground. Too high. Way too high in everything. Wouldn’t say I was thrilled but not going to kill the guy.

JT Tuimoloau (Ohio State)

Measurables: Height (6-4 1/4), Weight (265), Arm Length (33 3/4), Wingspan (82 3/8), Hand (10 1/2)

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 7, Week 10, Week 13, College Football Playoff First Round, Rose Bowl, National Championship

Did not workout. Would have been nice but don’t care. Dude is nasty and has shown it plenty.

Princely Umanmielen (Mississippi)

Measurables: Height (6-4 3/8), Weight (244), Arm Length (33 7/8), Wingspan (82 1/8), Hand (9 5/8)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.72), 10-Yard Split (1.62), Vertical Jump (38), Broad Jump (10’6″), 3-Cone (7.33), 20-Yard Shuffle (4.46), Bench (N/A)

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 13, Senior Bowl (2), (3), Game

Long strides in the 40. Covers serious ground with the feet. Passable in the wave. Not as smooth in the bag agility as I hoped. Had to redo a rep. Showed better bend at Senior Bowl. Rushing was a plus. Coaches yelling at him for more energy. He’s not failing but I wanted a tick more.

David Walker (Central Arkansas)

Measurables: Height (6-0 7/8), Weight (263), Arm Length (31 7/8), Wingspan (77 1/2), Hand (9 1/4)

Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.69), 10-Yard Split (1.65), Vertical Jump (35), Broad Jump (9’10”), 3-Cone (7.15), 20-Yard Shuffle (4.39), Bench (26)

NFL Draft Stock Report: Senior Bowl (1), (2), (3), Game

Eye level solid. Can sink the hips well. Wasn’t impressed at the Senior Bowl. Was really good here. Compact and low to the ground. Hand work there in drills. He’s starting to confuse me because I was out at the Senior Bowl. Genuinely impressed watching him move around. Lost footing a bit in the hoop but did a great job.

Mykel Williams (Georgia)

Measurables: Height (6-5 1/8), Weight (260), Arm Length (34 3/8), Wingspan (82 7/8), Hand (10 1/4)

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 1, Week 8, Week 14, Conference Championships, Sugar Bowl

Did not workout. Wasn’t healthy this year. Played through a lot. He’s going to go way too low because of it. Don’t listen to the idiots. This is a stud.
