The tight end group rounded out the second day of the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine. For some reason, they are lumped at the end of the cornerback and safety group. I guess that somehow makes sense when you consider the running backs, quarterbacks, and wide receivers take a very long time to finish their workouts.
I’ll say this before we start. The top tight ends didn’t work out and it was noticeable. The vast majority of the ones that did work out were incredibly disappointing. It was filled with a lot of bad who will turn into waste of time players that take up rosters spots to end up doing nothing. That doesn’t mean it’s a bad tight end class. We just didn’t see most of the good ones participate. With that said, let’s get to the tight end notes for the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine!
Elijah Arroyo (Miami)

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 1, Week 4, Week 5, Week 8, Week 9, Week 11, Week 14, Pop-Tarts Bowl, Senior Bowl (1), (2), (3), Game
Did not workout. Only benched (and put up a respectable number). Apparently, tweaked something at the Senior Bowl.
Gavin Bartholomew (Pittsburgh)
Measurables: Height (6-4 5/8), Weight (246), Arm Length (31 3/8), Wingspan (78 3/8), Hand (9 7/8)

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 9, Week 12, GameAbove Sports Bowl, Senior Bowl (2)
Nice mullet. Acceptable 40 for who he is. Really nice job on the blocking sled. Moved it no problem. He’s not terrible. Can actually stop and start alright. Not sure how good he is but don’t think he sucks.
Jake Briningstool (Clemson)
Measurables: Height (6-4 5/8), Weight (241), Arm Length (31 1/2), Wingspan (77 5/8), Hand (8 5/8)
Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.75), 10-Yard Split (1.6), Vertical Jump (31), Broad Jump (9’7″), 3-Cone (N/A), 20-Yard Shuffle (N/A), Bench (N/A)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Senior Bowl (1), (2)
Skinny receiver type who isn’t fast. Way too high trying to block. Ugly blocking rep. Takes too long to cut. Uses the hands to go nowhere. Not impressed. Feel like I’ve seen this version of the Clemson tight end before. A total zero who takes up a roster spot to do nothing. AKA Davis Allen.
Jalin Conyers (Texas Tech)
Measurables: Height (6-3 1/2), Weight (260), Arm Length (32 1/4), Wingspan (80 7/8), Hand (9 7/8)
Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.74), 10-Yard Split (1.62), Vertical Jump (35.5), Broad Jump (10’1″), 3-Cone (6.94), 20-Yard Shuffle (4.27), Bench (N/A)
NFL Draft Stock Report: East-West (1), Game
Too slow for a receiver type TE. Trying hard to block but lacks power. No real burst on the over the shoulder throw. Thick body but what else does he have going for him?
CJ Dippre (Alabama)
Measurables: Height (6-4 7/8), Weight (256), Arm Length (32), Wingspan (79 3/4), Hand (9 5/8)
Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.69), 10-Yard Split (1.56), Vertical Jump (34.5), Broad Jump (10′), 3-Cone (N/A), 20-Yard Shuffle (N/A), Bench (32)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 13, ReliaQuest Bowl, Senior Bowl (1), (2), (3), Game
Already know he sucks. Senior Bowl was gross. Looked like absolute trash on the over the shoulder throw. Play speed stinks. Too high blocking but moved the sled fine. Waste of time. Credit to him for at least having a sick bench number.
Mitchell Evans (Notre Dame)
Measurables: Height (6-5 3/8), Weight (258), Arm Length (31 7/8), Wingspan (77), Hand (9 1/2)
Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.74), 10-Yard Split (1.55), Vertical Jump (31), Broad Jump (9’7″), 3-Cone (7.25), 20-Yard Shuffle (4.4), Bench (N/A)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 1, Week 8, College Football Playoff First Round, Sugar Bowl, Orange Bowl, National Championship
Typical ND TE. Looks like he’s on the lower end. Good power blocking. Route running not terrible. Holding his own but not super gifted. Looked like he hurt himself on the comeback route simply by trying to hurry up his process. He’s just not that good. Goes to the back of the line to redo the route and it’s total molasses mode. Should tell you everything you need to know. Basically didn’t write a word on him at the East-West game. Was totally irrelevant.
Harold Fannin Jr. (Bowling Green)
Measurables: Height (6-3 1/4), Weight (241), Arm Length (32 1/4), Wingspan (79 1/4), Hand (9 1/4)
Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.71), 10-Yard Split (1.56), Vertical Jump (34), Broad Jump (9’10”), 3-Cone (4.39), 20-Yard Shuffle (4.39), Bench (22)
NFL Draft Stock Report: 68 Ventures Bowl, Senior Bowl (2), (3), Game
Terrance Ferguson (Oregon)
Measurables: Height (6-5 3/8), Weight (247), Arm Length (31 7/8), Wingspan (80 1/8), Hand (9 1/4)
Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.63), 10-Yard Split (1.55), Vertical Jump (39), Broad Jump (10’2), 3-Cone (N/A), 20-Yard Shuffle (N/A), Bench (N/A)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 6, Week 8, Rose Bowl, Senior Bowl (1), (2), (3)
Only guy in the group with real speed. Showed some ups in the vert. He belongs. Ran feet well. Moved the sled fine. Tripped over himself on the in cut. Was a big problem of his in college. Was on the ground a lot at Oregon for no reason. Feels like a wildcard. Also not sure he was the best TE on Oregon last year. That might not be a dig either…
Thomas Fidone II (Nebraska)
Measurables: Height (6-5), Weight (243), Arm Length (34), Wingspan (82 5/8), Hand (10 5/8)
Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.7), 10-Yard Split (1.57), Vertical Jump (35.5), Broad Jump (10’6), 3-Cone (7.01), 20-Yard Shuffle (4.29), Bench (N/A)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Senior Bowl (1), Game
Saw plenty at the Senior Bowl. He’s not good. Tall. Don’t see anything special. Effort is there. Talent is not.
Oronde Gadsden II (Syracuse)
Measurables: Height (6-4 5/8), Weight (243), Arm Length (33 3/8), Wingspan (81 5/8), Hand (10)
Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (N/A), 10-Yard Split (N/A), Vertical Jump (34), Broad Jump (9’6″), 3-Cone (N/A), 20-Yard Shuffle (N/A), Bench (N/A)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 9, East-West (1), (2), (3), (4), Game
Did not run. Not overly powerful but didn’t fail blocking. Zooming on the gauntlet. Good play speed with no drops. Good footwork on the routes. Cuts are really nice. Had one drop on the comeback route. Lump of clay that has something.
Jackson Hawes (Georgia Tech)
Measurables: Height (6-4 1/2), Weight (253), Arm Length (32 1/8), Wingspan (79), Hand (9 1/8)
Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.82), 10-Yard Split (1.56), Vertical Jump (34.5), Broad Jump (10’1″), 3-Cone (N/A), 20-Yard Shuffle (4.4), Bench (16)
Too slow. Bad drop to start the drills. Blocked fine but took him time to get going. No gauntlet. Looks like a zero unless you want to use him as an extra blocker.
Gunnar Helm (Texas)
Measurables: Height (6-5), Weight (241), Arm Length (32 3/4), Wingspan (79 1/2), Hand (9 7/8)
Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.84), 10-Yard Split (1.69), Vertical Jump (30), Broad Jump (N/A), 3-Cone (7.15), 20-Yard Shuffle (4.4), Bench (N/A)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 7, Week 8, Week 11, Week 12, Week 14, Conference Championships, College Football Playoff First Round
Tall. Bit too high blocking but moved the sled. Caught the ball really well. Can’t believe he’s that slow. Has to win with vertical spacing. Route running was a tick slower than I wanted. Reports have come out that he tweaked his ankle in the 40. I’m not sure but I wouldn’t say I was blown away.
Brant Kuithe (Utah)
Measurables: Height (6-2), Weight (236), Arm Length (31 5/8), Wingspan (76 3/4), Hand (10 1/2)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 4
Did not workout. At this point he’s been like his former Utah teammate Cam Rising. Permanently injured.
Luke Lachey (Iowa)
Measurables: Height (6-5 3/4), Weight (251), Arm Length (32 1/8), Wingspan (78 3/8), Hand (10)
Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (N/A), 10-Yard Split (N/A), Vertical Jump (35), Broad Jump (10′), 3-Cone (7.18), 20-Yard Shuffle (4.47), Bench (N/A)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 6, East-West (1), (2), (3), (4), Game
Did not run. So so blocking. Expected better given who he is. Slow on the gauntlet with shaky hands. Takes WAY too long to get to the spot on the in cut. Then finished the rep with a drop.
Colston Loveland (Michigan)
Measurables: Height (6-5 3/4), Weight (248), Arm Length (32 1/8), Wingspan (N/A), Hand (10)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 2, Week 4, Week 10, ReliaQuest Bowl
Did not workout. Recently underwent something for his shoulder. All of the top Michigan guys bailed on the event anyway.
Moliki Matavao (UCLA)
Measurables: Height (6-5 5/8), Weight (260), Arm Length (32 1/2), Wingspan (78 7/8), Hand (9 1/2)
Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.81), 10-Yard Split (1.6), Vertical Jump (32.5), Broad Jump (9’6″), 3-Cone (N/A), 20-Yard Shuffle (N/A), Bench (N/A)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Senior Bowl (1), (3)
Trash. Saw plenty during the CFB All-Star week. Painfully slow. Bad burst. Couldn’t run under the back shoulder. Took way too long to create momentum blocking. Totally stinks. Can’t even catch the simple dump off. Waste of time should be off any board.
Bryson Nesbit (North Carolina)
Measurables: Height (6-5), Weight (238), Arm Length (31 3/4), Wingspan (77 3/8), Hand (9 3/4)
Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.88), 10-Yard Split (1.61), Vertical Jump (32.5), Broad Jump (9’4″), 3-Cone (N/A), 20-Yard Shuffle (N/A), Bench (N/A)
Looks frail and ran a trash time. Looks lost. Ass kicked by sled. Too high. Couldn’t have been less impressed and beforehand really was semi-interested.
Robbie Ouzts (Alabama)
Measurables: Height (6-3), Weight (274), Arm Length (31 1/4), Wingspan (78 1/4), Hand (9 3/4)
Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.91), 10-Yard Split (1.64), Vertical Jump (34), Broad Jump (9’11”), 3-Cone (7.34), 20-Yard Shuffle (4.45), Bench (26)
Can’t run a lick. Try hard guy who is blocker only. Wasn’t blown away by his blocking. Have a hard time believing anyone actually uses a draft pick here.
Joshua Simon (South Carolina)
Measurables: Height (6-4 1/8), Weight (239), Arm Length (33 7/8), Wingspan (83), Hand (10 1/8)
Athletic Testing: 40-Yard Dash (4.65), 10-Yard Split (1.58), Vertical Jump (38), Broad Jump (10’4″), 3-Cone (7.22), 20-Yard Shuffle (4.4), Bench (N/A)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Cheez-It Citrus Bowl, East-West (3)
Only other guy with respectable speed. Good job blocking. Kept the feet moving. He’s more speed than polish.
Mason Taylor (LSU)
Measurables: Height (6-5 1/8), Weight (251), Arm Length (32 1/4), Wingspan (78 3/4), Hand (10)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 1, Week 3, Week 7, Week 8, Week 9, Week 11, Week 12, Week 13, Senior Bowl (1), (2)
Did not run or do any testing. On field element was there though and a plus compared to some of these other bums. Smooth and natural out there running around. Nice leverage blocking. Moved the sled great. Actually has somewhat of a burst out of the gate. Caught the ball well. Looks easy for him compared to others in the group. Can actually bend and explode.
Tyler Warren (Penn State)
Measurables: Height (6-5 1/2), Weight (256), Arm Length (31 3/4), Wingspan (76 1/2), Hand (9 1/2)
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 7, Week 10, Week 13, Week 14, Conference Championships, College Football Playoff First Round, Fiesta Bowl, Orange Bowl
Did not workout in any capacity
