‘Casual’ Colin Cowherd Doesn’t Know You Can’t Trade Draft Picks In MLB

You can’t make it up. Just one day after Colin Cowherd tried to spread lies about Nick Saban, he somehow made himself look like a bigger idiot this time around.

During a segment on The Herd, Cowherd and Jason McIntyre had an entire conversation about trading draft picks for Shohei Ohtani. The only problem with that is you can’t trade draft picks in baseball.

What a dope. I have three things to follow up with.

2: This is embarrassing. This somehow tops Bill Simmons giving himself a wrister on the trade machine over an illegal trade (which he literally did spending hours on a show creating fake trades that can’t happen). It’s the only thing I can think of that’s in the same ballpark as this.

3: I think the funniest part of this is the fact that during the rant is the fact that Fox hosts the World Series. A guy that makes millions of dollars while working for a network that holds the TV rights for the World Series called himself a casual while not knowing the rules. Isn’t that the bare minimum for being on TV?

Isn’t baseball desperate to grow the sport? Sounds like Fox is a bad partner if this is the coverage they’re willing to provide. Maybe next time they can do a segment featuring John Smoltz sounding as dead as a door knob while Cowherd feeds him casual questions.
