2023 NFL Draft War Room: Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns are still paying the Deshaun Watson tax. We have limited picks to work with here but will try to make the most of it. Plus, the team is actually pretty good so it’s not like we are working at a huge deficit. Let’s get right into it. Here is your 2023 NFL Draft War Room post on the Browns!
- Round 3, Pick 74 (from NYJ)
- Round 3, Pick 98*
- Round 4, Pick 111
- Round 4, Pick 126 (from MIN)
- Round 5, Pick 142 (from LAR)
- Round 5, Pick 144
- Round 6, Pick 190
- Round 7, Pick 229
I mean what did you people expect from this one? We tried to keep it straight forward and really take a look at who could be on the clock when the Browns actually pick. The Elijah Moore trade is a nice one but really limits the top end players we can possibly take. I also don’t think it should rule out a possible pick at wide receiver either.
Overall this team is really good and they don’t need much. Just looking at the team, finding a center upgrade over Ethan Pocic makes a lot of sense. This offensive line is dominant. Finding a game changer in the middle should be a priority. Luke Wypler to keep the Ohio State guy in the state could be a possible option.
At the end of the day, there isn’t a ton to fix. Watson just has to come through. Outside of adding more depth to the defense, this overall roster is really strong. Add in some secondary and pass rushers and you’re sitting pretty.
