Last year was a bloodbath. After winning fantasy hockey for a third straight season while remaining undefeated, we will continue to make this an annual tradition (link to last year). I feel obligated to do it again based on how last year went and the fact that ESPN hasn’t written me a check to do their rankings. Sean Allen sucks at fantasy hockey and we’re here to do it again. Here is your 2023 edition.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but we really don’t have much to review. It’s not my fault. The guy somehow got lazier than he was a season ago. Last year he said David Pastrnak sucked and that Phil Kessel was going to be a point machine. This year he cut down on his columns to further avoid looking like a fool. I guess I can’t totally blame him. If I sucked at something, I guess I would avoid doing it too.
If you take a quick peek at the ESPN Fantasy Hockey Draft Center, you can see all of the content that has been done to this point. It can basically be summarized as this.
Four preview posts for centers, wingers, defensemen, and goalies. That plus breakout picks, bounceback picks, and rookie preview. That plus rankings that haven’t been updated since August 7th. That’s all we have to work with.
How awful do you have to be at your job to just not update your rankings once? Are you getting it now?
Instead, I will remind you that Allen should be fired for lying about medicals and link all of the posts where I tell you why he’s wrong. You’re welcome in advance and good luck to all of you. If you read my stuff, I promise you will have success. The track record speaks for itself.
