Kevin Warren: Why Haven’t You Called Me Yet?
The Bears gave Chase Claypool away today but that’s not really the story. There is no hindsight bias needed. That trade stunk from day one and it’s embarrassing that Ryan Poles still has a job. Kevin Warren is the semi-new president of the Bears and he did not hire Poles or Matt Eberflus.
This post is directed at Kevin Warren because deep down I think he knows the truth. Warren knows there is enormous pressure on the Bears to start winning. Especially with the stadium dilemma that’s going on. This current regime that endured a 347-day losing streak can’t remain in place. Not if Chicago actually wants to turn this thing around.
Can we just be honest about things? This Bears team sucks. Eberflus is 4-18 as an NFL head coach. Some of it’s on Eberflus for having a simplistic defense. Some of it’s on Poles for having zero understanding of how to construct an NFL roster. Either way, we both know the truth. You’re not turning this thing around with that combination in charge.
Frankly, I’m not sure why you haven’t called me already. If anyone deserves the next opportunity with the Bears, shouldn’t it be the guy that was right every step of the way? In the embed below is my resume. You know, the only guy that had the balls to call Mitch Trubisky a 6th rounder.
