Hard Locks College Football: Week 6
Welcome back to the College Football edition of Hard Locks! Every week, Chickster and I take a look at the ten ESPN College Pick ‘Em games, choose games on spread, and record our picks and how they do to see who is the better bettor!
It was another above-average performance last week for Chickster and I, click here if you want to see last week’s episode, as we finished above .500 but Alex did not make up any ground. Our free money game of the week crashed and burned as Michael Penix Jr. did not lead Washington to a dominant victory as Arizona easily covered. For Week 6, I have two free money games! Take a peek at the games below and see if you can figure it out:
- No. 12 Oklahoma vs. No. 3 Texas (-5.5) (12:00 p.m. ET, ABC)
- Maryland vs. No. 4 Ohio State (-17.5) (12:00 p.m. ET, FOX)
- Rutgers vs. Wisconsin (-13.5) (12:00 p.m. ET, Peacock)
- Virginia Tech vs. No. 5 Florida State (-25.5) (3:30 p.m. ET, ABC)
- Syracuse vs. No. 14 North Carolina (-9.5) (3:30 p.m. ET, ESPN)
- UCF vs. Kansas (-3.5) (4:00 p.m. ET, FOX)
- No. 20 Kentucky vs. No. 1 Georgia (-14.5) (7:00 p.m. ET, ESPN)
- No. 2 Michigan (-19.5) vs. Minnesota (7:30 p.m. ET, NBC/Peacock)
- Georgia Tech vs. No. 17 Miami (-20.5) (8:00 p.m. ET, ACCN)
- No. 15 Oregon State (-9.5) vs. Cal (10:00 p.m. ET, PAC12)
There are quite a few games in here that I like. Right off the bat, I believe Texas should be a bigger favorite in the Red River Rivalry against Oklahoma. 5.5 points feels like a no-brainer, especially for Texas who defeated Oklahoma 49-0 last year. A sneaky bet in here is Kentucky over Georgia (stay tuned in the video for the teaser bet that I dropped), as Georgia has been slow starters this year and Kentucky put on a show on the ground last week. For the rest of my picks and all of Chicksters, be sure to watch the video!
