Draymond Green Joining Colin Cowherd’s Podcast Network, The Volume

Warriors star Draymond Green is joining sports media personality Colin Cowherd’s podcast network The Volume. Green will host a weekly podcast called The Draymond Green Show which release every Wednesday during the NBA season, per a report from Deadline.

The 31-year-old will also serve the company as a strategic advisor, “guiding the company on talent hires and business initiatives,” according to Deadline.

Green, a three-time NBA champion and three-time All-Star, has never been one to stay quiet, on or off the court, so the opportunity to talk uninterrupted about games and the politics of the league will surely draw listeners. Among the many segments on the show, he will have “The Death Lineup” where he picks his “most fascinating people” of the week, per Deadline. Other notable segments include “Commissioner Dray” and “Blind Compliments” with the former allowing him to institute new rules as the hypothetical league commissioner for the day, and the latter allowing the forward to compliment players around the NBA.

On why he chose to join The Volume, Green had this to say.

“I’ve always wanted to bring more of a player perspective to the stories coming out of the league. And there’s nothing I enjoy more than engaging with both my haters and fans. I’m excited to do all of that on this show. This partnership also gives me a unique opportunity to identify other emerging talent from the worlds of sports and entertainment and give them a platform to talk about their own experiences.”

Cowherd said that Green’s uniqueness and fearlessness drove the network to give the Warriors star his own platform.

“At the Volume, we are consistently looking for people who are unique and fearless. No one in the NBA captures that combination more than Draymond Green. We are excited that Draymond chose to be part of The Volume as both a host and advisor. We look forward to benefitting from his expertise as both a talent and strategic thinker as we continue to build the network.”

Green joins a budding list of media and sports personalities at The Volume Sports Network, including Alabama QB Bryce Young, former NFL scout John Middlekauff, gambling personality Liv Moods and college football podcast The JBoy Show.
