Why Haven’t The Commanders Fired Ron Rivera Yet?
Josh McDaniels, Frank Reich, and Brandon Staley have already been fired. The only bottom-feeding team that hasn’t fired their head coach are the Commanders. Rivera has been the leader of a dysfunctional mess in Washington but has still kept his job. So why has Rivera been allowed to keep his job for the entire season?
The funniest part is that Rivera already fired defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio. In the three games since Del Rio was fired, Washington has given up an average of 34.33 points per game and lost every single one of them. Clearly, Rivera is a problem with Washington but hasn’t joined that list of names to have already been fired. Why is that the case?
We already know the answer to why. It’s a matter of if you’re willing to acknowledge the truth of what’s happening right now. It has everything to do with the man that you all seem to throw a pity part for no reason.
Ask yourself this question. If new owner Josh Harris felt that Eric Bieniemy was qualified to be a head coach, don’t you think he would have been promoted to be one? What does Harris have to lose by giving Bieniemy a chance?
It’s exactly what the Raiders did with Antonio Pierce. What did Mark Davis have to lose? Pierce has since strung off a bunch of wins. So why didn’t Bieniemy get that same chance?
It’s for all of the reasons I’ve been trying to tell you. You can throw the guy a pity party all you want. If you watch the games, then you know that all Bieniemy has done is prove he’s a Madden coordinator. He’s also gotten Sam Howell killed to the point where Jacoby Brissett has to replace him for being too beat up. If you watch the games, then you already know Bieniemy isn’t a good coach.
Of course, I’ve been trying to tell you that the entire time. The owner’s actions here speak volumes. Why hasn’t Harris just fired Rivera so he could give Bieniemy a chance? It’s for all of the reasons I’ve been trying to tell you. Being a Madden coordinator who calls a bunch of pass plays doesn’t make you a good head coach. It’s time for the general public to start realizing that.
I don’t know who needs to hear this but that’s the truth. Nobody is picking on Bieniemy. If you know anything about football, you know that he’s not a good coach. We all saw it play out this year.
