Turkey Day is here! I have to say, I’ve enjoyed a little bit of time off this week leading up to the holiday. But before we all slip away into our respective food comas, we have bets to place. The NFL Week 12 betting lines are here and it is time to make our predictions. Let’s make this week a memorable one! (in a good way of course.)
Results through Week 10:
Jackson: 92-70-2
Garrett: 89-73-2
Chick: 88-72-2
Griff: 87-75-2
Jack: 84-75-2
Matt: 84-75-2
I know historically the Lions have not played well on Thanksgiving, and the Packers have normally played well, but this is not your dad’s Lions and Packers. Dan Campbell takes a big bite of some turkey ankles and the Lions continue their best start since JFK was in office. (Might be one of the most depressing stats in all of sports)
The second Turkey Day game might be somewhat of a stinker unless you’re a Cowboys fan. I just don’t see Washington keeping up in this one. While I don’t have much faith in the Cowboys, I have enough to think they cover here.
One of the most intriguing matchups of the NFL Week 12 betting lines. Normally, I would lean with the Seahawks on this one. But Kenneth Walker III is injured and Geno Smith is banged up but will still play. Brock Purdy might have gotten his mojo back and the 49ers walk out with a win and cover.
The above graphic is just insane to me (courtesy of the Pat McAfee Show). The Jets defense is good and even if they held Miami to 10 points, Miami would still cover because there is no way TDs are scored on offense. If you have Miami’s defense in your fantasy league, this week might be a good time to start them or grab them off waiver.
Call me crazy going with the G-Men here. And you would be correct, but I’m still going to do it.
I honestly had no idea who to go with here. Kenny Pickett hasn’t played well, but Matt Canada is no longer the OC. Joe Burrow is done and I have no confidence in this offense without him. I’m going to lean towards Pittsburgh but I honestly can’t tell how this game is going to go.
Quick note, I feel like a line of -4 is just weird, right? Can’t remember the last time I’ve seen that. We have another battle of the rookies at QB. Will Levis hasn’t recaptured that magic of his first start but looks to get back on track with a win and cover against Carolina.
Might be the best and most underrated matchup of the Sunday slate of the NFL Week 12 betting lines. The line is perfect because honestly, I feel like either of these teams can win. Is the AFC South fun now? I was one of the only ones to be positive about the Texans coming into this season, so I will rock with them again.
Another game I’m not happy about. I hate having to support Arthur Smith, but I have to here. I don’t even have any Falcons on my fantasy teams and I hate what Smith does.
One of the few, if only, upsets I’m calling this week. Every now and then Baker Mayfield and the Bucs can pull something out of their hats and play well. Let’s see them do it again here.
Yet another game I have no idea about. Gut tells me to go with the Rams here just based on recent play. I don’t trust Kyler Murray. Even if the new Call of Duty isn’t good and he might be focusing more on football, he’s just not back to what he was yet.
The Broncos really have a new type of swagger. Russell Wilson has been in the kitchen, he got the fire under control and has been cooking up some wins. Not only have the Broncos been winning, they’ve been doing it against really good teams. Browns don’t stand a chance and this might be my lock of the week.
The Raiders defense is legit. Patrick Mahomes and company have struggled in the second half the past four games and have not scored in any of those second halves. If the Raiders can keep it close in the first half, they have a chance to cover. That’s all I want.
The Eagles are on a roll and the Bills have struggled. This is a perfect storm of a game for Buffalo to lose. A Miami win and Bills loss would do wonders for my homer bet of Miami winning the division (I bet like $5). The Eagles fly with another win.
There is nothing about the Chargers I trust. Brandon Staley is still the head coach, but he is not the only problem. He is not the one calling plays on offense or dropping passes or making bad decisions with the football. Ravens have been more stable than earlier in the season, so this seems like a no-brainer.
Da Bears STINK. That is all.
