Well first off, he’s not hard to see. The man is 7 foot a million (really 7’6) for crying out loud. Plus his name is Tacko Fall. How many people do you know in the NBA with a name like Tacko? Exactly. I don’t know what it is about excessive tall players, but I just love to watch them and hope they play a ton. There are a ton of tall people in the NBA worth noting, like Boban Marjanovic (another personal favorite).
Tacko Fall is still a raw player, as raw as they come (giggity). But there’s always hope and hype around the tallest players in the NBA, because they don’t always have to be great, they just need to know how to use their height. Tacko Fall wasn’t even known that well until he played in the NCAA March Madness tournament against the juggernaut Duke. With all the cameras on that game. He had 6 points and 15 rebounds in that Duke game. UCF only lost by 1 point. If I am a coach that has a player like Tacko Fall, he’s practically not leaving the paint for offense or defense. I shouldn’t have to name why, but the reasons why he would never leave is because he can grab rebounder at ease, and while face post players, you can use your height to block. I mean simple big guy stuff right.
As of right now, the Boston Celtics signed him to a 2-way contract, so that he plays some regular-season games and game in the G-League. That is the responsible thing to do and wasn’t surprising. BUT IT’S NOT WHAT WE WANTED TO SEE. We wanted to see big ass Tacko Fall in the NBA every night ballin’ out for the Celtics. Unfortunately, we will have to settle for select games of the year and that’s even if they give them minutes. Cause I mean, let’s be honest, who is really watching the G-League? Exactly, It’s almost as bad as watching the WNBA….I mean who said that?
