Giannis Antetokounmpo Is Now a Part-Owner of the Milwaukee Brewers
NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo just won the city of Milwaukee an NBA title a few month ago. Now, he’s further investing in the city. Reports have surfaced that Antetokounmpo is now a part-owner of the MLB’s Milwaukee Brewers after purchasing a minority stake in their ownership group. Evidently, Giannis is putting his $228 million contract extension to good use in ways that don’t involve Chick-fil-A nuggets. I hope Jackson Law has fully recovered from his attempt at the Giannis Chicken Nugget Challenge.
MLB Network’s Jon Heyman (who finally got something right), first reported the news after the Brewers announced a press conference without giving a reason for it. The press conference in question did not mention any specific details regarding the NBA superstar’s percentage stake or other relevant financial details. He is the first individual investor in the Brewers since 2005.
This is definitely a good time for Giannis to invest in the Milwaukee Brewers. They are first in the NL Central by a wide margin and are among the favorites to represent the National League in the 2021 World Series. I bought their stock on SimBull a while ago, so I guess you could say I beat Giannis to this one. It’s entirely possible Giannis gets a second championship this year through the Milwaukee Brewers. Crazy.
