Font's Five
Font’s Five

Font’s Five is back for the first round of the NFL playoffs. We made it through a tumultuous year of quarantining. Now we have the postseason to pick up some wins and the season on a high note.

Font’s Five Starts With The Bills, Seahawks, and Washington.

Buffalo Bills -7. Nobody circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills! That offense in Buffalo is cooking with gas right now they are on fire. Down the stretch of the season, their defense has been playing much better as well. Ride the hot hand against an Indianapolis Colts team that could be down quickly and be forced to throw the ball. Which bodes well for us with Philip Rivers back there. Take the Bills to cover this game.

Seattle Seahawks -3, Seattle playing at home in a playoff game even without the fans only giving three, you have to take it. I do not trust this Rams offense at all whether it’s John Wolford or Jared Goff makes no difference. Their defense is legit I’ll give them that. However, Russel Wilson has had a good season despite always playing in close games because of the defense. This game is a toss-up for me but I’ll ride with Seattle here.

Washington Football Team +8, There has been some magic about these under .500 teams in the playoffs. Look back to 2010 and 2014 with the Seahawks and Panthers. However, out of all three big lines this weekend the Tampa Bay Buccaneers seem to be the most likely to go down. They have been an inconsistent team all year long and have some injury questions heading into this matchup. Give me the Football Team to cover.

Font Finishes With The Titans, Saints, and Browns.

Tennessee Titans +3.5, This is probably the best matchup of the weekend. Again we see the Titans meet the Baltimore Ravens in the playoffs. Titans as the underdog in this one we remember what happened last year. I’ll trust in Derrick Henry and the Titans to control this game and win outright or at the very least cover. I know the Ravens have been hot, but to be fair they have struggled all year against the really good teams. Which the Titans are a really good team. Take the Titans in this one.

New Orleans Saints -9.5, The Saints have had a hell of a year despite missing their quarterback and best receiver for multiple games. This could be Drew Brees’s swan song in the playoffs. He’ll be damned if his NFL career ends at the hands of Mitchell Trubisky. Give me the Saints in this one.

Cleveland Browns +6, The Browns are back in the playoffs and have not had much success against the Pittsburgh Steelers in my lifetime. However, this is the game they breakthrough. I really believe the Browns can pull this off. Also, a hot take for you this is the last time we see Big Ben suit up in the NFL. How poetic would it be for him to go down in his last career game to the Cleveland Browns? Take the Browns in this one.

The picks are in and it should be one hell of a fun weekend in the NFL. Let’s go make some money and finish the season strong. Happy Betting!
