Brock Purdy Is Never Winning The MVP Award

The people who bet Brock Purdy to win MVP are a detriment to our society. Instead of being an uneducated loser, please next time donate your money to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. You will do more good in the world that way.
The 49ers lost to the Browns yesterday, but it doesn’t even matter. It wouldn’t have mattered if San Francisco won the game. It came down to a Jake Moody field goal. All I ask is that we stop with the ridiculous notion that Purdy is a legitimate MVP candidate. After this week, I hope that we can put that ridiculous conversation to rest.
A: None of this is hindsight bias. I’m not just bringing this up after the fact. The Hard Locks guys talked about how ridiculous the conversation was on the picks show. Jackson, myself, and a few other smart people in the company Slack have been echoing those sentiments.
B: Anyone who tried to suggest that Purdy could win MVP should think about setting themselves on fire. Please next time donate the money to St. Jude. Can we please talk about some of the frauds that tried to suggest this was possible?
Rich Eisen tried to push this narrative. If you have been reading this site, you already know that guy is a joke. Inferior sites like Sports Illustrated and Yahoo also produced this nonsense content. Even the noodle arm loser that has a clam between his legs tried to suggest the same thing. We’ve already been over how big of a clown Logan Camden is.
There are more but you get the point. What you need to know is that anyone that even pretended to push this narrative is uneducated. That’s all there really needs to be said.
C: I’m not trying to suggest Purdy can’t play. He’s clearly better than Nick Mullens and CJ Beathard. We also told you to go pick him in fantasy football. That, of course, is a much different conversation than him winning the MVP.
We’re talking about a guy who was the last pick in the draft. Odds are, nobody knows who the guy is if San Francisco doesn’t draft him. It’s just a fact. Jimmy Garoppolo went to a SB with this same team minus Christian McCaffrey. Now look at him with the Raiders. Go up and down the list; Matt Schaub, Matt Ryan, Brian Hoyer, RG3, etc. All were at their best with Kyle Shanahan.
Give him the Coach of the Year award.
D: Christian McCaffrey is a much better pick for MVP than Purdy. If you disagree, rename it the quarterback award. Trent Williams has a better case to win MVP than Purdy. Did you see what Williams did to Micah Parsons? Purdy isn’t even the MVP of his own team. I’m not sure how it’s arguable.
This isn’t meant to disparage Purdy. Credit to him for his journey. It’s meant to address the elephant in the room. This guy is never winning the MVP Award and you’re a dope if you ever thought it was possible. Exile all of these people and send them to a remote island where we never have to hear from them again.
