Aaron Rodgers
Aaron Rodgers had the ultimate comeback to the haters criticizing his beer chugging ability (Rick Wood/Milwaukee Sentinel)

The internet has really gotten on Aaron Rodgers. Not for his play on the field but for his ability to chug a beer. Rodgers’ manhood was questioned. He was even blamed for cursing the Bucks in the Eastern Conference Finals. Well, Rodgers finally spoke to reporters to quiet the haters. He may have had the quote of the year.

“As far as those other guys, for some of them, there’s finally a talent where they can say they’re better than me.” – Aaron Rodgers, June, 2019

“I think we need to be smart about the example we’re setting for kids. There are a lot of kids watching. If we’re going to start highlighting and glorifying binge drinking, you know, we need to be very careful about that slippery slope.”

This is the ultimate comeback. Matthew Stafford and Mitch Trubisky were the two guys that were shown chugging beers shortly after. What in the world has Matt Stafford won? Not a damn thing. The only thing Stafford won was the first overall pick and getting to cash in on a lot of money before taking a snap. The same could be said for Trubisky who was drafted second. Neither of which can even sniff Rodgers.

At the end of the day, who gives a shit how fast you can chug a beer? That’s the last talent I would want. Trubisky can start bragging when he doesn’t suck and can win a playoff game despite having the best defense in the NFL. The same goes for Stafford who has been in the NFL forever and hasn’t accomplished anything. Rodgers is a champion and former MVP. If this is something that fires up Rodgers on the field, chugging those beers will be the worst mistake those other guys ever made.
