Things Trey Daubert Hates: The Six Degrees of Russell Westbrook

In Vendetta’s most recent NBA Playoff livestream (go subscribe to the YouTube and the Twitch!), Vendetta head honcho Trey Daubert revealed that he doesn’t like Ja Morant. Why?

“He’s a Westbrook guy.”

If you’ve been around the site a little bit, you know that Trey isn’t a big fan of Russell Westbrook. Need proof? I present Exhibits A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H.

I wanted to provide this handy starter guide to show what Trey has transitive dislike for because of his hatred for Russ. It’s like the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, but it’s really the Six Degrees of Russell Westbrook.

1. Ja Morant

Ja Morant should know better than to support Russell Westbrook and his play style. This is unforgivable.

2. Anyone Who Follows Russ on Social Media

If you allow Russ to show up on your timeline and influence your thoughts, what are you doing? Have you lost your mind?

3. The Washington Wizards

The Wizards will be paying their point guard over $40 million for the next three seasons. They willingly employ Russell Westbrook, so they find themselves on Trey’s list.

4. The Washington Capitals

The Washington Capitals may be a hockey team, but that almost makes their transgression worse for Hockey Guy Trey. When they heard Russell Westbrook was coming to town, they didn’t immediately relocate their franchise. Now they share a city with him.

5. Yasmani Grandal

Yasmani Grandal is the catcher for the Chicago White Sox. He plays in the same city as the Chicago Bulls. Zach Lavine plays for the Chicago Bulls. Zach Lavine went to UCLA. You know who else went to UCLA? Russell Westbrook.

6. The Number 4

The Washington point guard wears this number on his jersey. If anyone ever includes this number in a post, it so infuriates Trey that someone’s getting fired that day.

7. Anyone Who Has Ever Passed to Russell Westbrook

If a player has passed to Russell Westbrook, they’re just an enabler. If he’s on the court, the best course of action is to not give him the ball.

8. Oscar Robertson

Oscar Robertson allowed Russ to pass him as the all-time triple doubles leader and didn’t even try to stop him. What a scrub.

9. Jerry West and Brook Lopez When They Stand In the Same Room

West-Brook. Need I say more?

10. Anything Made of Bricks

I think this one writes itself.
