Under Maintenance
We deeply apologize for interrupting your reading but Vendetta is currently undergoing some important maintenance! You may experience some layout shifts, slow loading times and dififculties in navigating.
It’s been a long day. Quarterback notes are done. Wide receiver notes are done. We just have the tight ends to get through at the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine today yet. All gas, no breaks. Let’s go!
Davis Allen / Payne Durham. Both at the Senior Bowl. Blended together. Who’s better and does it matter? Either way, this is late round draft. Allen no power. Both of these guys were the slow ones of the group.
Tucker Kraft blows. His movement skills are awful. Looks like his brakes don’t work but he doesn’t have gas either.
Zack Kuntz is a Tall MFer. That’s all I know. Is there some Gesicki here? Good running and jumping test numbers. Bent knees well considering the height. Not nearly as fast as Gesicki but for an Old Dominion guy? However, did play at Penn State too sooooo
Something to be said for Iowa tight ends. Sam LaPorta ran well (5.59). For sure not Kittle but might actually have more juice than Hockenson. Glided down the gauntlet. Can for sure cut better than expected. Might be hidden gem. He really does have an extra gear. It’s there. You’re seeing it.
Will Mallory ugly blocking. No power. I don’t see anything intriguing here other than he has above average speed (4.54).
Michael Mayer only confirmed everything I already knew about him. Sorry but (4.70) isn’t good enough. Speed matters at this position. There are game breakers and then there are Austin Hooper’s. If you don’t have it we know how this story normally goes. You’re a crackhead if you think this guy is better than Brock Bowers (inside joke). It was obvious then and it’s only confirmed now. He’s slow.
What kind of burst do you guys think is here? Blocking very overstated in terms of power in the drills. Strange pushed the bag better than him and that’s not even his strength. He can catch and block but no burst at all. No way he’s a first round pure talent. There isn’t a twitch bone in his body.
Luke Musgrave ran but not drills (4.61) is a very solid time.
Luke Schoonmaker ran but no drills (4.63).
Was hoping for a better time from Brenton Strange (4.70). Someone that can break tackles and rack up YAC. I like his tracking ability. Long speed might not totally be there but for sure held up well in quickness.
Darnell Washington is disgusting in a good way. It’s almost to the point where he doesn’t feel human. How he ran a (4.64) at 6-foot-7, 270 doesn’t seem fair. He’s basically already an extra offensive lineman. Very prideful in his blocking like George Pickens was a year ago. Did you see how easy he moved the sled?
Aced the gauntlet. You almost can’t believe what you’re seeing. Total freakshow. His ankle flection for a guy his size again doesn’t feel real. He’s basically an offensive lineman. I don’t know how this guy is real. Go head pick the Utah guy instead. Georgia has better players than you. Recognize it or suffer the consequences later.
Blake Whiteheart bad knee bender.
Brayden Willis is an Oklahoma H back. K… we’re done for the day.
