BREAKING: Deandre Ayton Signs With The Los Angeles Lakers

Deandre Ayton has decided to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers. This has been confirmed by Shams Charania on Twitter/X:

BREAKING: Deandre Ayton has agreed to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers, sources tell ESPN. Between Portland and L.A., Ayton will earn $34 million next season. After spending the last two seasons in Portland. Deandre Ayton has been bought out by the Trail Blazers and is now signing with the Los Angeles Lakers. The former 1st overall pick from the 2018 NBA draft is now entering his 8th year in the NBA. While he may not have achieved #1 overall pick success, he has been a consistent player in the NBA. Ayton has averaged a double-double for his career with 16 PPG and 10 RPG.

While Ayton may not ever reach the success of being a #1 overall pick, he is a still a solid piece to add to the Lakers.
