We already did the 2024 NFL Draft profile on AD Mitchell. Now it’s time to talk about the other Texas wide receiver, Xavier Worthy. Enjoy the in-depth scouting report below.

Speed kills. Worthy is the fastest man ever in the history of the NFL Scouting Combine. The 4.21 on the 40 and 1.49 10-yard split time speaks for itself. Worthy also posted elite leaping recording a 41 inch vert and 10’11” on the broad. Worthy didn’t do any of the on-field drills and I can’t really blame him after breaking the record on the 40.

The Alabama game sums up who he is in my mind. His hands are shaky. Drops are an issue. Certainly looks damn good when he wins over the top. Feels very similar to Marquise Brown. Faster but that kind of player. Was kinda held in check in the Washington game. The talent is obvious but so are the flaws. He needs to catch the ball better. Unbelievable athlete but his size will also limit him. Checks in at 5-foot-11, 165. Any receiver under 170, you hold your breath and hope for the best. Durability will be a concern even if he doesn’t have a super lengthy list of injuries.

Again, the talent is obvious. Was nearly a 1,000 yard receiver right away as a freshman. Had serious offers to transfer but never did. Four star guy coming out of the state of California. Just hate him at the catch point. Drops the ball too much and can get bullied. Just also awesome separating and will get open. He is grease lightning. Fast in all areas and a serious field stretcher.

I have a firm second round grade on Worthy. Probably the closest thing to DeSean Jackson since the man himself. Going to be a game wrecker. Just have to accept his flaws and build a proper game plan around them. Makes the rest of his team better by stretching the field.
