WWE Monday Night RAW Results and Review (11/28/22)

Opening Segment – Becky Lynch returns to RAW

This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW was kicked off by The Man. Becky Lynch made her way to the ring to address the crowd after making her in ring return this past Saturday at WWE Survivor Series. Lynch has been missed on RAW. She took this time to go to the crowd and cut a promo that made fans so excited to have her back. She was eventually interrupted by Bayley.

After a back-and-forth exchange, it seemed like they may go after each other. That was until we saw Dakota Kai and IYO SKY approaching Lynch from the crowd. An all out brawl broke out throughout the arena and up into the concourse. It went into the merchandise area and was incredibly chaotic. WWE officials ended up breaking it up before anybody stood tall, but this was a really fun segment.

Rhea Ripley vs. Mia Yim

This match has been building over the last few weeks. Rhea Ripley and The Judgement Day have been going at it with Mia Yim and The OC for the last month or so and it seems as if we are finally reaching the end of it. After a solid few minutes of back and forth action, The Judgment Day and The OC were unable to stay uninvolved. This led to an eight-man tag team match.

The Judgement Day vs. The OC

This was a solid match to finish off this rivalry. AJ Styles preached before the match that they were looking to end this feud once and for all. Ripley picked up the victory for The Judgement Day via her finishing move Riptide. This was the right call. After Styles got the much needed singles win over Finn Balor at WWE Survivor Series, The Judgement Day needed to stand tall here.

Before commercial break we got a nice backstage segment between The Street Profits and Alpha Academy setting up their match a little bit later in the night. It is so nice to see Montez Ford back and healthy, it got me excited for the match.

The Bloodline promo

Following their victory at WWE Survivor Series, The Bloodline decided to show up on Monday Night RAW. They were missing Roman Reigns but he honestly didn’t need to be there. Sami Zayn and Jey Uso embraced once again to show everyone they are on the same page. It turned into a group hug between The Usos and Zayn. They were trying to get Solo Sikoa to join as well, it was a really fun segment.

It was interrupted by Kevin Owens. KO came out and made sure to let Zayn know he is not mad. Owens recognizes that he himself has turned his back on Zayn before, so he doesn’t blame Zayn for doing the same. He expressed he simply wants nothing to do with Zayn, and Zayn agreed.

Uso took this opportunity to stand up for Zayn. It led to a challenge for the main event of RAW. Uso to take on Owens.

The Street Profits vs. Alpha Academy

It is so nice to have some proper tag teams back on Monday Night RAW. Ford has been away from WWE with an injury and RAW has missed him immensely. Angelo Dawkins has definitely been using the time away wisely as well. He looks the best he has ever looked.

This was a really fun match, with the Street Profits securing the victory. Alpha Academy do a lot of losing, I would love to see them in a proper storyline soon.

Austin Theory promo

RAW was now joined by the new WWE United States Champion, Austin Theory. Theory picked up the belt in a triple threat match against Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley.

Theory has been putting out great work ever since losing the Money in the Bank briefcase. I had a feeling they would put the belt on him at WWE Survivor Series and I was right. He continued on his current path with a great promo before being interrupted by Rollins.

Rollins started his promo by saying “Shut your mouth and let them sing!” to Theory as he began talking. It was really awesome as you could imagine. The two men had a heated stare down before exchanging words. It looks like this will lead to Rollins vs. Theory at WWE Royal Rumble which would be an amazing match.

Dexter Lumis vs. The Miz

This was an anything goes match in which if Dexter Lumis won he would be awarded a WWE contract. This storyline has been going on for far too long. They had the opportunity to make it interesting but really fumbled it with this story. Lumis got the victory and his WWE contract. One can only hope this is the end of this feud.

Dakota Kai vs. Candice LeRae

Before this match could start, Candice LeRae attacked Dakota Kai from behind.

LeRae is making her return after a few weeks on the shelf because of a backstage attack by Damage CTRL. LeRae was definitely fired up in her chance to get some payback. Damage CTRL attempted to help Kai at one point but they were surrounded by WWE security. LeRae eventually picked up the win here. This was a really good match.

After this match, we got a backstage segment with the RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair. She was joined by Asuka and Alexa Bliss. The main focus of this segment was that Bliss seemed to be distracted by staring at Belair’s title. This could lead to a Bliss heel turn and an eventual match with Belair at WWE Royal Rumble.

Kevin Owens vs. Jey Uso

The main event of this week’s WWE Monday Night RAW was Kevin Owens taking on one half of the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, Uso.

This match was an absolute banger. These two men have not been on Monday Night RAW a ton over the last month and a half, so it was so nice to get this match. Uso really is amazing in ring and on the microphone every week. He deserves a real singles push one day.

Owens got the win here, but Uso did not make it easy. It was an absolute slugfest and a great way to end the night. It feels like we are going to get Owens and The Bloodline all the way up to WrestleMania and I am so here for it.
