Randy Orton update; Brock Lesnar, Cody Rhodes ‘Mania Plans – WWE Weekly Rumor Round Up (11/27/22)
Keep in mind before reading this article that these are rumors surrounding the WWE — nothing has been confirmed directly by the source.
- According to Fightful Select, those looking for a Randy Orton return any time soon will not be in luck. It was reported that Orton received a fusion surgery on his back and will continue to be sidelined for a significant period of time. This news is very sad to hear as Orton is one of the most respected wrestlers in WWE history. Orton remains in our thoughts as his long term health is what is most important. Get well soon, Viper.
- Sportskeeda Wrestling has reported that we may be in store for a dream match at WrestleMania 39. It was reported that Gunther stated his interest to face off against Brock Lesnar at WWE WrestleMania. This match would have fans out of their seats from bell to bell. It is the type of match that needs to happen on a stage as great as WrestleMania. This is a dream match for wrestling fans everywhere.
- It is reported by Sportskeeda Wrestling that Cody Rhodes is unsure of when exactly he will return to WWE from injury. All signs point toward him rekindling a feud with Seth Rollins upon his return. Rhodes squared off with Rollins and scored the victory in three straight matches when he first made his return to WWE. It will be interesting to see if they decided to go back there.
- It appears the rumor has been debunked on LA Knight apparently planned to win the next Money in the Bank briefcase. WWE creative apparently really like LA Knight and could see him as a big part of the company moving forward. There has simply been no talk of plans for next man to hold the Money in the Bank briefcase.
