Titans Ink Tony Pollard In Free Agency
Last year, the Cowboys hit Tony Pollard with the franchise tag. This year, Dallas wasn’t willing to do that after a down year. Pollard has now found a home and he’s on his way to Tennessee. The former Memphis product is signing a deal in free agency with the Titans.
The former Cowboys running back is signing a three year deal worth $24 million. The deal looks eerily similar to what D’Andre Swift just got from the Bears.
Adam Schefter of ESPN was the first to report the news here.
It’s safe to assume that Derrick Henry is now gone. Pollard now will make up a one-two punch that also features Tyjae Spears. Pollard will likely be the lead back but Spears performed well as a rookie and will certainly have a role.
Pollard, 26, is a duel threat player that can catch the ball really well. He now joins a team that’s going to be very run centric. Brian Callahan is the new head coach and Bill Callahan is the offensive line coach. It’s also a team with Will Levis. A young quarterback that’s going to need help from these backs.
The Derrick Henry era is over and he’s now been replaced by Pollard. Feel free to comment below. Do you think this will be a good move for the Titans or will none of this really matter? Let your voice be heard.
Oh, and this team is cursed so odds are this move won’t mean anything.
