Tim Brown Doesn’t Want The Raiders To Sign Tom Brady
It appears pretty clear at this point that Tom Brady has played his final games for the Buccaneers. If Brady continues playing, the Raiders are a team that appears very interested in landing the GOAT. Mark Davis is very thirsty for Brady to come to Vegas. It just so happens that not everyone associated with the Raiders would be happy if that came to fruition.
Appearing on “Maggie & Perloff” on CBS Sports Radio, Tim Brown made it quite clear that he thinks signing Brady would be a horrendous idea for the Raiders.
“I don’t think Tom Brady should be in the plans at all,” Brown said. “But, because of that relationship, I think that’s a possibility.
“Well, I think he’s starting to show that he’s 45-46 years old. His inability to move — when you look at the quarterbacks in the league today you have very few who are pocket quarterbacks. Joe Burrow is probably the closest thing you get, but God knows when it’s time to run, he can get out of the pocket and make it happen.
“Tom Brady is never gonna do that. I just don’t believe in this league, and yeah, Tom has won all these Super Bowls, but I just think the league is moving to a point where you have to have a quarterback that’s able to move around and get some things done with his feet every once in awhile.”
Brown does have a point. Brady will turn 46 next season and the league is trending toward more athletic quarterbacks. It may be fair to wonder how much Brady has left at this point while playing behind this Raiders’ offensive line.
Side note: I think I can speak for everyone in saying we here at Vendetta are rooting for Brady to sign with the Raiders. Nothing will be more entertaining than the spin zone that Chickster is forced to do in his head.
