Winners and Losers on SimBull after Darnold Trade
Sam Darnold is leaving the Jets and getting a fresh start in Carolina, but who are the winners and losers from the trade on SimBull?
The Jets have officially decided to move on from the Sam Darnold and are taking a quarterback with the number two overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft. The Panthers have already decided to pick up his option for the fifth year, and are reuniting Robbie Anderson with his original NFL quarterback.
Loser: Jets
Like always, my team finds a way to screw something up. I really think Darnold got a raw deal and for short-term success having a guy who has NFL experience would have been a win. I thought everyone agreed upon the fact the Sammy D. had the worst coach of all time in Adam Gase. Everyone knew they needed to fire him, but they left Darnold out there to get killed.
They finally set Darnold free and accumulated a bunch of draft picks, but Joe Douglas has not proven that he knows how to draft with this team. I want to trust the process and I am buying into Robert Saleh, but I don’t think they are worth buying on SimBull.
Winner: Panthers
I am shocked that the SimPanthers have dropped 12% on SimBull. He is getting a chance to go to a competent organization and the coaching staff will help make Darnold thrive.
If I know anything about investing (I pretend like I do but nobody actually knows) you “buy the dip.” Like I alluded too I don’t actually know why their price has dropped so much, they are getting a better quarterback than Teddy Bridgewater.
They did not give up too much for him, it was a great move for their future. Darnold is still young and needs a coach to build a proper game-plan around his talents.
