The Lakers have been one of the most expensive teams on SimBull all year, but with the injury bug going around L.A. their simprice has gone down 10%.
The SimLakers are currently available for purchase at $41.13, and the third more expensive share in the NBA.
In the stock market, there is a saying, “Buy the Dip” and this applies more than ever to our partners at SimBull. When the pandemic hit and the stock prices tanked to record lows, millions and millions of new investors flocked to the stock market. The Lakers stock is having its crashing moment.
The Lakers have been overrun by injuries, and most recently LeBron James. The megastar is “out indefinitely” with a high ankle sprain. They lost the game he got hurt in against the Hawks, and they lost the following game against the Suns.
Anthony Davis is also injured and has been since the middle of February. Davis re-aggravated his recurring injury and was also ruled out through the All-Star game. Well, we are a few weeks past the disastrous event and Davis has yet to play in a game.
That is not to say that they are both out for the rest of the year, but they will not be the dominant Lakers that won the NBA championship in the bubble and they appeared to be.
The price could go down more honestly, they have the Bucks and the 76ers in their next five games, so there could be more losses in their future. However, getting a team with LeBron James and Anthony Davis, at any sort of discount could be to good of a chance to pass up.
