SimBull Full Team Breakdown: Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens are up next for our breakdown for all 32 NFL teams for SimBull purposes. There were a lot of questions and rumors swirling around this team this offseason, and plenty of questions that need to be answered this season. Will Lamar Jackson take the next step and lead this team to a championship or at least a Super Bowl berth? We will find out. We most recently covered the Buffalo Bills value on SimBull, which you can find here.

Biggest Reasons To Buy on SimBull

As a Steelers fan, it is hard to give any sort of kudos or props to any AFC North team, especially the Baltimore Ravens. But I will give the devil their due: the Ravens have a squad and aren’t to be messed with. Lamar Jackson is as dynamic a playmaker as we have seen maybe since Michael Vick. According to newly acquired wide receiver Sammy Watkins, Jackson will hit you 100% as long as you’re open…do with that as you will. They drafted Jackson help at receiver with Rashod Bateman in the first round of the draft this year. Their defense is young and insanely fast. They fly around the field and are tenacious. An 11-5 record last year gives them hope going into this season, not only from a standings perspective but SimBull as well.

Biggest Reasons To Avoid Buying on SimBull

Honestly, I can only think of three reasons you might want to avoid buying the Ravens on SimBull, and that is their price, the division they are in, and Lamar Jackson. One, their steep price of $38 is among the highest on SimBull. You have to look at some other teams and their value in regards to money to be made off wins and dividends for when the price goes up for them. Next, the AFC North is a highly competitive division with the 12-win Steelers, a scary-looking Browns team, and a Bengals team that is heading in the right direction. Lastly, can you really trust Lamar Jackson to stay healthy and lead the Ravens to another double-digit win campaign?

My Opinion

The Baltimore Ravens didn’t do anything off-season to get worse, but they didn’t do anything to get really better either. Adding Bateman will help the offense but can Lamar find him? Their leading receiver last year was Hollywood Brown with 58 catches for a mere 700 yards. It might be worth it to take a flier on them and see what they can do, but if it was me, I like plenty of other teams to invest in. I would pass, Ravens hatred aside.
