2020 Record: 3-7

2021 Projected Win Total: 6

On The Field:

Oof, was 2020 a bad year for the Tennessee Volunteers: in the SEC, they were dead last in third-down conversions, 11th in total offense, and 12th in ppg. Practically the entire offense from a year ago hit the transfer portal, so there are question marks littered all over. BUT there is hope on the horizon! New Head Coach Josh Heupel comes in from UCF and he brings with him a high-powered offense that will look to move the ball. The defense is just as iffy as the offense, though. The defensive line will look to be more disruptive than last season, and the defensive as a whole HAS to get more takeaways. Jaylen McCollough and Trevon Flowers at the Safety positions are good-tackling anchors, and corner Alontae Taylor can be All-SEC this year that’s the kind of potential he has. Everything just has to click this season.

In The Market:

The going price per share for Tennessee on SimBull CFB is $38.58. If you ask me, there are too many holes all around this team to consider investing at this price. I say that, but there are some nice building blocks with this team. So, if the price starts to drop on Tennessee throughout the year, they can be a very intriguing long-term investment. But as it stands currently, I am not even considering the Vols (unless Peyton Manning suits up for them).
