Should Dynasty Fantasy Football Owners Give Up On Jonathon Brooks After Another Knee Injury?

If you are a Jonathon Brooks owner in dynasty or normal long-term fantasy football leagues, you’re going through it right now. Brooks tore his ACL again in the same knee he hurt in college. After a second ACL injury and rough overall rookie season, how should you proceed from here?

Let me first start by saying here. If you went heavy on Brooks in fantasy, I can’t say that I feel bad for you. It’s just another example as to why you should make Vendetta Sports Media as your home for all NFL Draft coverage. We’re more accurate than anyone else in the industry and it’s pretty irrefutable at this point.

Before the draft, I had a 7th-round grade on the former Texas back. I dare you to find another draft analyst who said something similar. Everybody else had him as the best running back in the draft. Guess who Trey had as his number one running back…

I also told you to avoid Brooks in fantasy at all costs. If you didn’t listen, that’s a you problem. Sorry if that sounds harsh but at some point you people have to stop pretending someone else has better information on the NFL Draft.

Now it’s a matter of where you go from here. Considering that Brooks tore his ACL again in December, there is a good possibility he’s out for the entire 2025-26 NFL Season. It’s going to take him longer to come back this time around. Carolina isn’t going to chance anything given the draft equity they spent on the player. Odds are Brooks has no value until the 2026-27 Season.

If you have Brooks, I’d sell him. I’m not sure Chuba Hubbard is going away even Brooks were healthy. The pure talent has always been overstated. The injury is now a huge concern. Will he ever come back to being the same guy? If not, he might end up being a complete waste of time.

I’ve never been high on Brooks. Now it feels impossible to be high on him. I have no idea what you could even get in return but if you can sell him for something usable, I’d jump on that in a heartbeat.
