Ryan Poles Defends Decision To Trade First Pick In 2023 NFL Draft

If you have been living under a rock, you might have missed the part where the entire city of Chicago attacked me. If you are part of that under-the-rock group, let me remind you below with the Ryan Poles video.

Don’t worry… receipts have been kept. We knew it was only a matter of time before Poles defended his asinine trade. In fact, he may have even read what I said about him. Based on the view numbers that might be very possible. His comments are interesting given the fact that the National media agreed with him on the trade.

VIA Chicago Sun-Times:

“The noise around it was crazy compensation, but I think at some point when you feel comfortable with what you’re receiving, you pull the trigger.”

In the same post, Poles also admitted that he could have gotten more. Which is a crazy response but at least he was being honest!

“You think like, ‘This could get even bigger,’” he said. “But I also think that if you get a little greedy, it can come back to get you, too.”

Well… you heard it. That’s straight from the guy who made the trade. He took less because he didn’t want to get greedy. Keep in mind the deal was made on March 12th. The 2023 NFL Draft isn’t until April 27th. As I tried to tell you before. It was a small balls move made by a hack GM that has no business even keeping this job.
