Best Prop Bets To Make For The 2022 NFL Draft

It’s Draft Day! We finally made it. Months and months of watching tape, writing mock drafts, reviewing the combine and so much more have led to this moment. We as fans can just sit back and watch the chaos unfold tonight during the 2022 NFL Draft. But, what could pair better with the draft? Is it your favorite beer? Maybe. A big plate of wings? Potentially. Personally, I would like to make a little money tonight. After reviewing the odds on DraftKings Sportsbook, I bring you some of my favorite prop bets tonight for the draft. Let’s make some money.

*I am trying to not pick anything with crazy odds. Preferably the closer to the line the better.*

#1: Offensive Linemen Taken In The First Round: Under 7.5 (+135)

In my most recent mock draft, I have 5 first-round offensive linemen being drafted. Now, a concern of mine with this bet is if 3 get picked in the top 7-10 or so. Then if there is another run in the teens, this number could inflate. This draft class has depth, for sure. But I would not grade 8 linemen prospects as first-round talents.

$10 bet wins $23.50

#2: Total First Round Running Backs Drafted: Under 0.5 (-200)

Easy money. This year’s draft class for running back isn’t great, and there is certainly not a running back who I would take in the first round. In my mock listed above, I didn’t have one going until the 50s. There is nice talent in this class, but there are much bigger needs for teams picking in the first round than running back. Here are our running back rankings.

$10 bet wins $15.00

#3: Total First Round Wide Receivers Drafted: Under 6.5 (-120)

Arguably the best group of prospects in this class is at receiver. There is so much talent to be had in this draft class. Our rankings prove that. However, 7 receivers taken in the first round is a lot. Teams like Green Bay and Kansas City are locks. Teams who could use one are someone like New Orleans, Philadelphia, and the Jets. That is 5 right there. Close to our number but outside of that, one additional splash pick wouldn’t surprise me. This seems like it has a good chance to hit.

$10 bet wins $18.33

#4: Evan Neal As Top 5 Pick (+175)

Many people have Evan Neal as the top offensive tackle in this year’s draft class. There are a few teams with a clear need at OT in the top 5, looking at you Jacksonville, Houston, and New York Giants. This seems like a lock pick as well because if teams view him as the best of the best, you are going to covet that player and make sure you have him.

$10 bet wins $27.50

#5: Total First Round CBs Drafted: Over 4.5 (+110)

  • Ahmad Gardner
  • Derek Stingley Jr.
  • Andrew Booth Jr.
  • Kaiir Elam
  • Trent McDuffie

Those are your five going in the first round. All of them can play. The top two guys are going in the top 10, so if you can find a bet on that, make it. I could see a guy like Roger McCreary sneaking into the first round as well.

$10 bet wins $21.00

Other fun bets I found while looking for my best:

  • First Special Teams Player Drafted: Matt Araiza (-125) *The Karl Heiser Special*
  • Kenny Pickett Draft Position: Under 16.5 (+120)
  • George Pickens Draft Position: Under 36.5 (+110) *Trey Daubert Special*
  • 1st Offensive Player Drafted: Evan Neal (+300)
