Monster recruit. Top overall talent during the 2019 cycle. You can’t teach 4.39 off the edge. I tried to tell you over and over again during the stock report notes even last year. It feels like the NFL Draft community is finally catching up at the right time. Production would have been more greater if it wasn’t for an unfortunate injury last year. Smith suffered a torn pec that ended his 2022 campaign prematurely.
The guy is a total freak show. I don’t know what more you want me to say. If you want someone to attack the quarterback, this is the guy you should pick. Something that should also be mentioned is that Smith is dominant in run defense. He was part of that Georgia group that led the country in that category. Imagine what happens when he adds about 15 pounds? It’s going to be scary.
I think Nolan Smith is one of the ten best players in the draft. The production will come because he’s too gifted for it not to. I love Nolan Smith and nobody should bat an eye when he’s picked. Should be a premier pass rusher for a long time. What Smith provides just doesn’t exist around the league. Have any of these freaks from Georgia failed yet? I’m still waiting.
