Nelson Agholor played the 2020 NFL season with the Raiders and it seemed that he rejuvenated his career with them. The Raiders started 6-4 this year and then stumbled to an 8-8 record. This was a deja vu from last year after they started 6-4 as well in the 2019 NFL season, but then also stumbled to 7-9 season. Nelson Agholor got pissed off with Raiders players after they lost to a last-second defensive breakdown against the Dolphins. Reported by the Athletic:

Agholor, according to those in the room, said his teammates were selfish and didn’t work hard enough, and that they had quit against the Dolphins as well as in the previous two losses. He said there was no accountability in the locker room, and on winning teams players play for one another and the coaches. The Raiders’ performance over the previous six games was unacceptable, and too many people within the team were just flat-out accepting it.

Agholor told his teammates that they sucked.

Agholor was absolutely right. There was no accountability and no reason why the Raiders should play that bad to end the season, especially in back-to-back season. Jon Gruden didn’t seem to mind the outburst:

Then, according to witnesses, he was done and there was silence. Gruden didn’t respond, and neither did any of the players. (When contacted Thursday night about the speech, Gruden texted, “I love Agholor.”)

The Raider organization and the fans themselves seem to love Nelson Agholor and even more so after this reported outburst. Nelson Agholor played great with the Raiders and fans were screaming for him to be re-signed. Now the love for him has only risen because he wanted accountability on the team from the rest of the players. That is definitely something the Raiders could use and Agholor could be a leader for that.
