Mayzomatic announces signing with The Volume Sports

Up and coming YouTuber/Twitch streamer Brady “Mayzomatic” Mays is joining The Volume Sports, the podcast network owned by Colin Cowherd. Mayzomatic is known for streaming Madden and has been on the Twitch scene since Madden 18. His streams involve lots of energy and they are fun to watch when he shows emotion, both good and bad. Mayzomatic currently has 114,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel.

“At The Volume, we comb the internet for people who cut through within a specific genre,” Cowherd told Yahoo! Sports. “We wanted to find a unique talent in esports, starting with Madden, and at every turn, someone on the internet was pointing to Mayz.”

Some of the other talent The Volume has brought in include Draymond Green, JBoy and Liv Moods. Draymond and JBoy were brought onto the site for their podcasts, while Liv was brought on as a gambling personality. Cowherd also added veteran NFL defensive back Aqib Talib, where he debuted his podcast, Catchin’ Fades.

Personally, I think this is a great move for Cowherd and Volume Sports. He brings in a younger guy in Mayzomatic, whos’ only 25 and already has a big following in the gaming community. I think with the energy he brings he can help himself and the site get a lot of success. There is certainly a lot of talent on the Volume Sports network.

Colin has had a change of heart about gaming recently. Six years ago on The Herd, he had an interesting take condemning esports. Recently, in an email response to questions from Yahoo! Sports, he flipped the script on his mindset.

“I’ve had a total change of heart,” Cowherd said via email. “That business is so lucrative that parents these days might be telling their kids to STOP playing outside and go inside and play some video games.”

I support his recent take. As a gamer myself, I think video games can teach a lot of lessons to kids. Of course, so will real life situations, but gaming isn’t always a negative thing for kids. Also, if you are an interesting person, you could try streaming, and maybe make a career out of it. I think with all of the technology in today’s world, there are many opportunities for people to make a name for themselves through streaming/gaming. Mayzomatic is going to be the first streamer from Volume Sports to be on Twitch, according to Yahoo! Sports.
