LeVeon Bell

The Jets decision to give LeVeon Bell $50 plus million dollars was a horrible idea from the start. Paying a running back an enormous amount of money with a ton of tread on the tires who sat out the entire season never made any sense. Not a lick of sense. New York is now starting to pay the consequences for a decision they allowed Mike McCagnon to make. Le’Veon Bell has become the worst running back in football.

Sure, the Jets overall roster is awful. Yes, the Jets offensive line is bad. At the end of the day, if you’re averaging 3.1 yards per carry, you don’t deserve to start. That’s exactly what Lev Bell is giving the Jets right now. 143 carries for 449 yards of horrible football. Lev Bell is doing his best impersonation of Maurice Clarett. Sit out for a year, think you’re better than you really are, then produce like an awful football player. Bell is closer to being out of the league than he is to ever making an impact again.

Say whatever you want about Mike Tomlin. He’s done one thing incredibly well in Pittsburgh. Has anybody developed running backs and wide receivers better than Pittsburgh? It’s truly incredible how they continue to draft and develop players at that position. Bell was a product of their system. Now he’s gained weight and doesn’t have that same explosion. Instead, he dances in the holes and gets dropped right away.

Le’Veon Bell is killing the Jets. It’s not going to get any better. It was hard not to see this coming. It’s the first thing I did in my Madden series. I couldn’t get rid of that clown fast enough. The Jets will realize that soon enough.
