Josh Allen ‘Sad’ The Bills Fired Ken Dorsey

Ken Dorsey is the fall guy in Buffalo. Nobody really knows other than the fact that Sean McDermott is trying to save his ass. McDermott runs the worst statistical defense in the NFL since the Matt Milano injury. The Bills are still a top 10 offense this year under Dorsey. Yet, Dorsey is the one that got fired. Not sure how that works but whatever. Apparently, the decision to fire Dorsey wasn’t exactly universal. Josh Allen wants you to know that he’s sad about it.

“I love Dorsey,” Allen said. “As a human being, he’s one of the good ones. He’s been in this room with me for a very long time. I feel like I owe him a lot of the success I’ve had in my career and he’s been a huge part of that. Sad to see him go. Fact is, if we play better as a team we probably don’t have to make a move like that. He’s a big part of what we’ve been doing the last few years. I talked with coach [Sean] McDermott. I understand the thought process of why we’re doing it. It’s unfortunate, but, at the same time, we’ve got a game against a division rival on Sunday and we still have time to turn this thing around.”

Sorry to go off on a weird tangent, but I mentioned this in the Connor McDavid post I just did in regards to the Oilers firing Jay Woodcroft. How are these guys not being consulted on when making coaching changes? It’s borderline insane. It doesn’t sound like Allen had any say in this, which is crazy.

Allen also mentions that part of the turnover problem is the fact that he’s constantly playing catch-up. Sounds like a McDermott problem that Buffalo can’t stop anybody.

Things are really trending south in Buffalo. It feels like a miracle that McDermott will be back next year. Especially after this nonsense.

Feel free to comment below. Do you think the Bills should fire McDermott? After this stunt, I’m firing him at the end of the year. No question about it.
