Jordan Love LOVES Dontayvion Wicks

Jordan Love claims the Packers don’t need a number one wide receiver. Probably because they have so many good young guns they don’t need a true number one. Dontayvion Wicks epitomizes the depth Green Bay has. The Packers signal caller believes the former Virginia wide receiver is on the verge of a huge season in 2024.

“I think Dontayvion Wicks is going to have a monster year this year,” Love said, via Bleacher Report. “I think he was able to do a lot of phenomenal things last year. I think the sky is the limit for him. His confidence keeps getting more and more, raising up. Obviously the more reps he gets, the more comfortable he gets in the system and just playing fast.”

Wicks, 23, notched 39 receptions for 581 yards and four touchdowns as a rookie a season ago. Not bad considering the club selected Wicks in the 5th round last season. Maybe he is on the verge of becoming a real factor in the offense.

The problem is there are so many targets on this team. Who really is the number one on this team? The Pack also have Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, and Christian Watson. Maybe if Watson’s hammy gives out again, Wicks will be ready to be inserted right back into the lineup.

This is your friendly reminder to do best ball this year for fantasy. Imagine trying to set a lineup on who to start every week from that group? It’s silly. Wicks will probably be productive. Good luck trying to guess when those weeks will be. He’s going to need an injury in front of him to have the chance to truly pop off.
