Ja’Marr Chase: 2023 Fantasy Football’s WR1

Last year I called my shot and won. This year, I plan on doing the same thing. Once again the fantasy community has it wrong. Ja’Marr Chase will finish the 2023-24 NFL Season as the fantasy football WR1. Take it to the bank.

Chase, 23, is the best wide receiver in football. I don’t know who needs to hear that, but it’s true. You guys do remember when Chase and Justin Jefferson were at LSU, right? There is a reason why Chase outproduced Jefferson in college and was selected higher in the draft. Jefferson is a MFing monster. Chase is just head and shoulders better than everyone. The NFL world will soon realize this.

As a rookie, Chase posted 81 receptions for 1,455 yards and 13 touchdowns. Last year in 12 games, Chase posted 87 receptions for 1,046 yards and nine scores. This year, Chase is going past two thousand yards and 18 scores.

Yes, the calf thing is a concern when it comes to Joe Burrow. I would imagine that Burrow is fine. What should matter is that he’s by far the best quarterback that any of the top rated fantasy receivers have to work with. I trust Burrow far more than I trust Kirk Cousins or Matthew Stafford. This Bengals offense could be the best in the NFL. I just can’t say that about the Vikings, Rams, or Raiders.

Even in an injury plagued season, Chase still commanded 134 targets in 12 games. Chase is going to be a target hog and worrying about Tee Higgins overlapping him is foolish. Chase has proven he can not only put up numbers opposite of Higgins, but he’s also the number one on this team.

You heard it here first. When it happens, I want all the credit. If I had the first pick in a garbage snake draft, I’d take Chase. This is who I’d try my best to acquire in a redraft auction league. 2K yards and 18 scores. That’s the prediction.
