Is Breece Hall A Wise Investment For Fantasy Owners In 2022?
Going into the 2021 NFL season, when you looked at the New York Jets running back room, there was not a ton to like. They had just drafted Michael Carter out of North Carolina and he was kind of viewed as having a chance to be the guy in New York but didn’t really show that promise until the tail end of the year. He posted good fantasy numbers, but what if I told you you could get those numbers through a full 17 games next year? Insert Breece Hall out of Iowa State.
Breece Hall had a really good draft profile coming out of Iowa State this year before being selected 36th overall in the 2022 NFL Draft. Hall brings a lot to offer coming into his rookie year. Some of the biggest things I like about Hall are that he did not fumble once during his time as a Cyclone, and the FBS record he set with scoring at least one touchdown in 24 straight games. He protects the ball and has a nose for the endzone. I like that a lot.
I think he will fit into this New York Jets scheme very well. He tested out VERY well at the combine, running a 4.39 40-yard dash and having a 40-inch vertical. While Carter is more of a receiving back, Hall will come in and be the bell cow. He is known for being a willing workhorse and I believe that will translate well to the next level. The Jets now have a 1-2 punch, especially if you throw sets together where both guys are on the field at the same time, you have no clue who the ball is going to.
I believe that Breece Hall will find success early and find it often throughout his NFL career. He was regarded as the number one running back prospect in this year’s draft class, and that showed being the first running back off the board. He should come in and become the RB1 and see his fair share of touches this season. Look to add Hall to your roster.
