The nightmare is finally over. Chaim Bloom has officially been fired by the Red Sox and there should really only be one takeaway. It’s 100 percent the right call by the organization.
I created a social media thread below on all of the mistakes that Bloom made during his tenure in Boston. I would be here forever if I linked every single one of them. However, I listed a majority of them here. Click the tweet below for the brief list.
Regardless, there should be two main takeaways.
A: Bloom proved over and over again he wasn’t built to run this club. It wasn’t in his DNA.
B: Two consecutive bad trade deadlines got him fired. It’s just a fact. I even made a video to help him make trades and he still couldn’t get anything done.
C: Bloom was basically the antithesis of Dave Dombrowski. Trader Dave was fired because he was no longer creating young talent. He did not care about the minor league system. That can’t happen in any organization. The Tigers still suck and Dombrowski has a lot to do with it. Just like the Texans still suck and it’s for the same reason of Bill O’Brien tanking their young talent.
D: I want the job. This team has all of the pieces necessary to win right now and in the future. You won’t do better. Give me an interview. I am the leader this team needs. I am the brain this team needs. I have a staff ready to go.
