If you’re watching Jackson Law’s college football revamped series, then you’re getting to see a little more of Feleipe Franks. The problem is that isn’t really a good thing. Franks is one of the notable late round quarterbacks in the 2021 NFL Draft. This one won’t take long. Let’s go over the Feleipe Franks 2021 NFL Draft profile.
Now athletically, there are some things to like. Franks was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 31st round of the 2019 MLB Draft (probably should have stuck with baseball). Franks was a big recruit when he originally signed with Florida. He also checks in at 6-foot-7, 234, with some underrated wheels.
The list of compliments stop there. I don’t think Franks can play a lick. Not a single lick. In fact, I think Franks is so bad that the general manager that drafts him should be thrown in prison. That’s how bad I think he is.
When Franks first showed up to Florida, he struggled his balls off. As a freshman, he completed 54.6% of his throws. The following year, Franks then posted a 58.5% rate. It’s not like he doesn’t have help at Florida either. Those numbers are very much an accurate depiction of Franks. He often looks drunk and once that ball leaves his hand, the fans in the stands may as well have a shot at catching that puppy.
As a junior, Franks started the year okay but broke his leg four games into the year. Franks was replaced by a nobody. That man is now Kyle Trask who immediately made Franks look like the scrub that he is. Trask never started in high school but somehow walked in the door and gave Florida an enormous boost. At least, compared to Franks anyway.
Franks eventually transferred to Arkansas and really was nothing more than a snoozefest. I thought the funniest part of the season was when Franks had a chance to get revenge on his former program. That, of course, never happened. Arkansas got beat 63-35 and Franks looked about as well as those fossilized remains in the pyramids.
Franks’ Senior Bowl performance was good enough to make any person vomit.
Guy can’t play. Not even a little. I don’t know how else to describe it. Feleipe Franks looks drunk trying to play football. He’s a slow processor and has less accuracy me trying to go bowling. It’s gutter ball city. There’s absolutely nothing here.
