EA Sports UFC 5 Release Date Revealed, Per Report

The release date for EA Sports UFC 5 has been revealed. The fifth installment in the UFC video game will be released on Friday, Oct. 27, 2023, according to Insider Gaming.

An official announcement from EA Sports has not been made. Although, it is expected that EA Sports will officially announce the release date on Sept. 9, 2023, during UFC 293. At the event, Israel Adesanya, one of the UFC 4 cover athletes, will look to defend his title against Sean Strickland.

The reported release date of UFC 5 comes one week after UFC 294 which is headlined by Islam Makhachev and Charles Oliviera.

If you are eager to get your hands on UFC 5, you can sign up for the UFC 5 Closed Beta. The Beta is designed for users to provide feedback prior to the game’s launch. It is certainly not the final version of the game, but it will provide fans an opportunity to get their hands on the new game.

At this point, we do not have much information on UFC 5. The only form of content that we have gotten from the game is a teaser trailer from Gamescom 2023.

In the teaser trailer, the athlete pictured appears to be UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski. While you cannot see his face, the character has similarities to Volkanovski. The most evident of which are his tattoos.

The cover athlete of the game has not been announced. Volkanovski appears to be a solid guess based on the teaser trailer, but other fighters have a case for cover athlete. At UFC 292, Sean O’Malley became a superstar and seems to be a legit candidate for the cover. The announcement coming during UFC 293 could lead people to believe Adesanya will don the cover. That sounds good in theory, but a main event upset could really spoil EA’s plans.
