Dear, Ryan Reynolds: If You Want The Senators To Win A Stanley Cup, Hire Me

It’s becoming more and more likely that Ryan Reynolds is going to own the Ottawa Senators. After joining up with the Remington Group, Reynolds has to be the odds on favorite to acquire the team at this point. Reynolds might be acquiring a struggling franchise, but does he realize how much talent is actually on this team? Does he realize the crazy guy at Vendetta Sports can win him a Stanley Cup?

I’m writing this post now before Reynolds takes over. Nothing against Pierre Dorion but he’s really done nothing except take this team into full rebuild mode. Now it’s time to hire the guy who’s willing to put the big boy pants on and turn this Senators team into real Cup Contenders. The only logical choice for the job is Trey Daubert.

I won’t divulge too much of the plan. I’ll save that for the interview. However, just know mistakes of the past like trading young goaltenders like Filip Gustavsson for old stop gaps like Cam Talbot will no longer be made under team Trey. Just know when it comes time to make vital decisions like trading Mark Stone, you will get back more than Erik Brannstrom.

I might be an unorthodox hire but I have a feeling that’s exactly what you want. You want someone who’s going to bring excitement to the table. Someone who has a plan and someone the fans can rally behind. I promise to be that.

I’m a talent evaluator. A damn good one. I can give you that championship team that you’re looking for. If the Bears were smart they would have hired me and avoided the entire Mitch Trubisky era. Hiring a retread or sticking with the guy you got will only repeat what’s happened with this franchise over and over again.

When the Sens purchase is complete, give me a call, Ryan. I don’t think you have any idea how good this team can be with the right touch of Trey attached to it. The core pieces like Tim Stutzle are already in house. Let me put the big boy pants on so that you get the recognition you deserve when it’s time to hoist the Cup. I’ll be waiting.
