Dave Portnoy calls out Rico Bosco for stealing, editing his videos

It has been a long and entertaining few days for Barstool Sports. Now, things are only getting more heated inside the company. Dave Portnoy has called out one of his top employees in Rico Bosco for stealing videos and editing over them.

Recently, Dave Portnoy made one of the biggest moves in company history in buying Barstool Sports back from Penn Entertainment. Penn would go onto strike a deal with ESPN moments after the separation.

In all the ups and downs, Portnoy’s employees didn’t even show up when he bought back the company. Crazy.

Now, things are getting even spicier. The Owner and CEO of Barstool has just gotten into a feud with one of his top workers in Rico Bosco over stealing and editing over videos.

In a text message Portnoy released just moments ago, he asked Bosco if he stole his umpire video for his own. In response, Bosco texted back.

“To a degree, yes. Without audio though. Couldn’t screen record it on my own ESPN and rewind on a live TV. Usually use what I see pop up in my group Facebook page when people share etc. Yours went up just as I started the blog. Was fastest avenue to getting the blog and TikTok up.”

“If you don’t want me to use your videos moving forward, my apologies.”

(Quotes have been altered for grammatical correction.)

In response to Portnoy calling him out, Bosco tweeted out one cold-blooded response.

“Won’t happen again. The last thing we need is more of your videos being leaked.”

I mean, wow, my jaw is on the floor. Bosco has just annihilated his own boss after calling him out. Point to Rico Bosco.

Even after calling him out, I really can’t see Portnoy letting Bosco go after this. He hasn’t fired a big name in the company ever, and I doubt he will. Barstool Sports’ job security is like a bank vault.

What do you think of this situation? Is Barstool Sports back? How will Dave Portnoy handle his company going forward? Let us know in the comments down below.
