Darwin Núñez is starting to become a meme. Soccer guy Trey might not be studying Premier League tape every week but I’m educated enough to be informed on the comical misses Núñez has had after moving to Liverpool.

The pure box score numbers haven’t been horrible. The Uruguayan has five goals and two assists in 13 matches. Those numbers don’t really tell the story. The fact of the matter is, this Liverpool squad hasn’t been the same since Sadio Mane bolted for Bayern. A year ago, Liverpool was a point out of first place in the league. As we sit here today Liverpool are in 9th and 19 points behind Arsenal. Núñez hasn’t replaced that X-Factor that Mané had.

Say whatever you want about FIFA but I think their player models are accurate. They nailed Núñez like they do with almost every player. If you watched the last episode of the AFC Richmond career mode series then you saw a hilarious compilation of Núñez shanks.

Trash. Send him back to Benfica on loan for another year. Right now AFC Richmond has taken your spot in the Premier League in a dog fight with Manchester City for the crown. How does it feel Liverpool fans? Your sorry clownshow team can’t even beat the fighting Ted Lasso’s who just got promoted from the Championship. Your days as being a threat in this league are dwindling!
