We already covered the other Alabama tight end, Robbie Ouzts. Now it’s time to review CJ Dippre. If you read the last profile on Ouzts, the vibes on this one won’t be any different. It’s time to do the 2025 NFL Draft profile on Dippre!
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 13, ReliaQuest Bowl, Senior Bowl (1), (2), (3), Game
So Ouzts was essentially ignored in the stock report notes. Can’t say the same thing about Dippre. You can gladly read them if you desire. I’d appreciate the extra clicks but if you want to save time, it’s basically me saying he sucks over and over again.
Dippre, 21, was a three star prospect out of the state of Pennsylvania. Has a good frame on him at 6-foot-5, 256, and doesn’t play small. Can kinda work upfield alright once the ball is in his hands. Put up a really nice number on the bench at the Combine and can play with strength. That’s about where the compliments end.
The play speed just isn’t there at all. In terms of the pure hands, I’d argue they’re horrific. Can’t catch a lick. He’s never going to get open on his own. Going to have to be one of those things where a good playcaller gets him a free access look against a hole in zone.
Also, the production factor isn’t here either. Dippre spent his first two years at Maryland. Actually had an ok sophomore year with 30 receptions for 314 yards and three scores. Finished up at Alabama and never scored another touchdown again. This past year he finished up with 21 receptions for 256 yards of meh.
This is an undraftable player. By the way, his Senior Bowl was gross too if you want to read the links at the top. Frankly, without the Alabama helmet, I can’t imagine either of these guys even get invited to these predraft events. There’s a ton of blocking tight ends out there and the ones who can’t catch a lick can’t possibly be a priority.
