You’re going to want to read this one. The Chicago Tribune recently posted an article about potential options that the Bears could look at for backup options behind Mitch Trubisky.

Rich Campbell, the author, wrote a post titled: ‘Who will the Bears sign as Mitch Trubisky’s backup? Breaking down the quarterback market’.

The article lists Tom Brady, Dak Prescott, Ryan Tannehill, Teddy Bridgewater, and Drew Brees among many options to come to Chicago to be Trubisky’s backup. Seriously, not a joke. Somebody actually wrote this for a well-respected publication.

The Chicago Tribune seems to be a publication that is unwilling to acknowledge that Trubisky can’t play. No idea why. Maybe he kidnapped somebody. I don’t know. Despite averaging a league low 6.1 yards per attempt, the Chicago Tribune sticks up for him.

Recently, they wrote a post that went into the process about why the Bears drafted Trubisky. They made sure to include the part where a lot of experts thought Mitch Trubisky was better than Deshaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes. Of course, if you thought that, you just didn’t know how to scout. They never included my post where I called him a 6th rounder.

Listen, It’s okay, to be honest Chicago. Tyrod Taylor would start for the Bears. Case Keenum would start for the Bears. The sooner they cut bait with Trubisky, they better they will be. Instead, it seems like the entire city is delusional. They think Drew Brees or Tom Brady is coming to be the backup to Trubisky! The Bears refusal to acknowledge Mitch Trubisky stinks is one of the great mysteries in the NFL.
