Cam Newton seems to believe that he has what it takes to be a starting NFL Quarterback in 2023. Who wants to be the one to tell him he is delusional?
In a tweet Monday, Newton said he will be throwing at the Auburn pro day as an open workout for NFL teams. He would mention in the video that “ain’t 32 motherf—— better than me,”. On the one hand, he isn’t entirely wrong! There aren’t 32 quarterbacks better than him. That number is probably closer to 45 or 50 perhaps.
Can we also talk about how he still tweets like that? I bet he takes a solid five minutes just to tweet anything because he has to change the font. It’s absurd.
Anyway, Cam Newton actually believes he can be a starting QB in the league in 2023. Who is he beating out? I would take Desmond Ridder over Newton. I’d probably take Davis Mills over Newton as well. Kenny Pickett is better. Jared Goff makes Newton look like a scout team player. Maybe he could beat out Matt Ryan! Even Zach Wilson probably beats out Newton for a starting job, and that guy really stinks. Newton brings nothing to the table that is better than any other QB in the league.
Cam Newton is completely delusional. He can’t actually think he can earn a starting job in the NFL in 2023. What is he hoping to get out of this? A training camp contract in hopes to make the 53? He will not perform well at the Auburn pro day, and he will walk out of this event embarrassed, knowing he will never have another crack in the NFL.
