Fanatics will become the NHL uniform supplier in 2024-25

The NHL has announced this morning that they will be switching to a new uniform supplier in 2024-25. Fanatics, a long-time merchandise supplier for professional sports teams, has finally stepped up and became an official supplier for NHL. Via NHL Press Release.

Fanatics has blown up over the past 12 years, as Michael Rubin founded the company in 2011. For anyone who may not know about the company, they’re an online manufacturer and retailer of licensed sportswear. This includes the NHL, NFL, NBA, MLB, and more.

The NHL has agreed to a 10-year deal with the sports manufacturer giant starting in 2024-25. This will be the first time Fanatics will appear on game uniforms in professional sports. The company has also made NHL Authentic Pro line of official performance gear that is worn by players, coaches, and more. The company has been doing this since 2018.

NHL commissioner Gary Bettman made comments on the opportunity to work with Fanatics as an official uniform supplier. “This expansion of our partnership with Fanatics is a reflection of our shared commitment to innovation, performance and serving our players and fans,” NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman said. “… Our players and fans should look forward to what Fanatics will bring to the best uniforms in all of sports.” Via NHL Press Release.

CEO and Founder Michael Rubin called this opportunity to partner with the NHL a “seminal moment” and “a testament to the hands-on, collaborative relationship” with the NHL. Via NHL Press Release.

This opportunity for Fanatics to partner with the NHL is nothing short of amazing. With Adidas as the sponsor of the NHL, they paid them $70 million a year for seven years. Before Adidas, Reebok sponsored the NHL and paid the league only half of the Adidas settlement. Now, Fanatics will be the next merchandise giant to step up and make a deal with the NHL.
