Bad Bunny Starting New Venture Into Sports
Bad Bunny is beginning a new chapter in his career. The Grammy-winning recording artist is now launching Rimas Sports Agency alongside Rimas Entertainment CEO Noah Assad.
This move clearly may have caught people off guard, and rightfully so — not what you’d expect to come out on a Friday. But, there can certainly be traces of motivation found as to why he’s doing this. Along with participating in the Celebrity Dodgeball game during the MLB’s All-Star Weekend in 2022, the star has also sat court side at a number of NBA games.
Rimas has represented Bad Bunny for a number of years on the music side, which has clearly been very successful. Now, the pair will try their hand in the sports world.
Picking Up Steam?
Obviously, Scott Boras is still the king of agents in the MLB. Love him or hate him, the guy is good at what he does.
However, to have the name power and pull of someone like Bad Bunny could lead to success down the road. Rimas has already added a number of prospects to their list of clients. Furthermore, the New York Post already confirmed that MLB certified agent William Arroyo will be working for Rimas. Padres star Fernando Tatis Jr. has picked up Rimas for marketing purposes rather than as an agent.
It remains to be seen how much influence Bad Bunny will have in the sports world. We’ve seen plenty of celebrities get involved in it one way or another. Obviously, this venture is a good place to start. Could he potentially try to help a team either move or be created? There is already chatter about places like Salt Lake City and Las Vegas potentially being interested in a pro baseball team one day. At this point you can’t rule anything out.
